Best and worst Hermes purchase of 2024?

Thoughtful thread! I have tried to limit to 1-2 per category.

Best bag: B30 SO (have I reached peak H and it's all downhill from here?)
Best non-bag: tie between Kelly belt, Noir/GHW, and Effet Kaleidoscope sweater, Beige Glaise. I wear the belt all the time and it is also lovely to wear a little bit of H RTW to work when a scarf/bag/bling would be out of place.

Worst bag: none, but I think my Picotin 22 Rose Azalee will be used the least over time, so that was probably an unnecessary purchase for me...
Worst non-bag: to the dismay of some scarfies, my Sous le Charme d'Orphee CSGM. I adore CSGMs, but this one has confirmed I do not like designs with "visible animals" - abstract and geometric designs only going forward.

As a bonus:
The "One That Got Away" Category: Arcon bag. Stupid me for returning this, but a case of bad timing. I am repurchasing ASAP (and keeping this time!!).

Best Purchase
Bag- honestly all of them, my SA was amazing this year, but if I had to pick - maybe k28 gris mouette phw because I did not think they were making this color so it was a very pleasant surprise!
Non-bag- St. louis Tommy tumblers, probably now my most used H item

Worst Purchase
Bag- none, but my worst non-purchase / one that got away was a craie sellier b25 (I passed because wasn’t sure how I felt about sellier b since I hadn’t tried one in person before at the time, and I couldn’t go in person to see it that week)
Non-bag- wouldn’t say worst purchase, but not my favorite was probably the bride a brac. A bit too boxy for my liking

Best purchase:

• Bag: K25 Gold on Gold 😍 and my ITL 18 in Rouge H which I literally have been taking everywhere with me since the fall.
• Non-Bag: Kelly Chaine bracelet- drop dead gorgeous with that pave sparkle, my gingerbread charm, a cashmere coat

Worst purchase:

• Bag: There is not really any Hermes bag that I regret purchasing this year, but I absolutely regret distance purchasing my first (and last!) Goyard bag. Once you appreciate Hermes quality bags, no others compare! I purchased a silk Sursoie pouch and although pretty, I don't like the dinky strap it has and it doesn't go with many things.
• Non-Bag: This is hard to say because I love all of my Hermes, but probably a Petit H charm that was a random color- the brightest orange (not sure which one) and doesn't seem to go with any bag I have other than noir- and is great only for Halloween.

Please share your best and worst Hermes purchases in 2024! Since this is tPF and most of us would likely pick a bag as the best purchase, please also split your response into bag and non-bag items.

I will go first:

Best purchase:

• Bag: Mini Kelly in Epsom, Noir with PHW. I'm a mini bag girl and this bag has been everywhere with me.
• Non-Bag: H Riviera Blanket (09 Sable CW). It goes well with my living room's color scheme. There's a big "Hermes" in the corner, but I just folded it in because I'm not a fan of loud branding.

Worst purchase:

• Bag: K25 in Box, Noir with PHW. I've used this bag exactly twice since I bought it in August . It's extremely stiff and slightly annoying to use. When I'm running out the door, I always default to the Mini Kelly with the same specs. I'm hoping to break it in and use it more in 2025.
• Non-Bag: I would say most of my Mosaique au 24 platinum items. Mainly because I don't have the full set yet.

Is your "worst" box bag sellier? I know box can also less commonly come in retourne!

Best: Kelly 25 retourne PHW in togo, caban color, PHW. FINALLY after 4 years!

Worst: my cdc rose gold ring, because I just lost it. ;_; Driving myself crazy over this... still no memory of how or when it left my hand. I loved it, so it only gets this rating for lose-a-bility. Maybe expensive rings are a terrible buy for someone with adhd.

Bag - The Queen of my collection, my Gris Misty Kelly 28 Retourne in Togo. I am so in love with this bag, and I carry it pretty much at the very minimum one day per weekend! It's truly my perfect Hermes bag!
Non-bag - It would be a tie between my shearling Izmir sandals, and the Avalon Jump' H blanket! I never liked the Izmirs until I tried on the shearling iteration, and it is so comfortable, and with the blanket, I've always wanted one, and the Jump' H version works so well in my new apartment! I'm still paranoid about kitty clawing it though, and I've already had to snip two errant threads from the machinations of his paws...

Worst Purchase
Bag - I only get one Hermes bag a year, so not applicable.
Non-bag - The Vert Toundra Electric Sandals in parachute nylon - those felt like a bit of an impulse buy - they are very comfortable, but I always find myself gravitating to other sandals instead.

Best purchases:

Bags: My first quota offer, b30 gold with PHW! I did not think I would get offered my dream specs for my first bag! Gold with palladium hardware is chefs kiss and I’m so happy!

Other: Vert Criquet calvi! Unexpected buy and this color was not on my radar, but I truly love this little wallet and would buy more in a heart beat!

Worst purchases:

Bags: N/A. The only other bag I purchased in 2024 was a picton 22 and I absolutely adore it!

Other: Un Jardin sur le Nil Hair and body shower gel. The pump is absolutely horrible and releases hardly any product. Waste of money and I will likely never purchase again.

Best other: sherwood blanket. No logo, cozy, with appropriate weight (don’t like blankets that are too light). Even my husband, who initially side–eyed this purchase, fights me for a share 😅.

No best or worst for bags as I didn’t get any.

It is sellier I have no regrets adding this bag to my wishlist and purchasing it because it's gorgeous! It's a "worst" purchase in terms of usage but certainly a "best" in terms of closet decor I'm just hoping that the box leather will soften with time!

This is fun! Love reflecting for the new year and hopefully we appreciate and reflect for the next year!

Best purchases:

• Bag: Tie between Kelly Danse (so usable for everyday!) and B35 Barenia, one of my holy grails that i've beaten up this past year during travels. It's big and heavy but it is an amazing and beautiful travel and work bag! Fits my 14" laptop perfectly!
• Other: H Bounce Sneakers, love them. Goes with all outfits and comfortable!!

Worst purchases:

• Bag: If i had to pick.. kelly to go - it's cute when just used as an accessory but a pain to get in and out of. I definitely still love it and it's mixed accessory but man... I futz with it forever to get my cards out! Never been a fan of wocs.
• Other: Funk Boots, the leather is so stiff it's like breaking in patent leather docs but worse. I've worn them once and got gnarly blisters so i continue to reach for other boots.

I'm "happy" to hear I'm not the only one with blisters after wearing these boots. They're so cool though!

Best purchase of 2024 ...
I suprised myself by purchasing a Garden Party having previously felt it a little 'dull and basic' I tried one on a whim and decided it ticked a lot of boxes in terms of what I was seeking in my next bag, 'Under the radar', relatively lightweight, chic simple and suitable for work, it can also be worn over the shoulder as well as hand held.
I also find it anything but 'dull' or basic and actually feel really good carrying it.
Worst?-possibly the double Rivale bracelet...I dont wear it as much as I do my Hapi.
