Please share your best and worst Hermes purchases in 2024! Since this is tPF and most of us would likely pick a bag as the best purchase, please also split your response into bag and non-bag items.

I will go first:

Best purchase:
  • Bag: Mini Kelly in Epsom, Noir with PHW. I'm a mini bag girl and this bag has been everywhere with me.
  • Non-Bag: H Riviera Blanket (09 Sable CW). It goes well with my living room's color scheme. There's a big "Hermes" in the corner, but I just folded it in because I'm not a fan of loud branding.
Worst purchase:
  • Bag: K25 in Box, Noir with PHW. I've used this bag exactly twice since I bought it in August :doh:. It's extremely stiff and slightly annoying to use. When I'm running out the door, I always default to the Mini Kelly with the same specs. I'm hoping to break it in and use it more in 2025.
  • Non-Bag: I would say most of my Mosaique au 24 platinum items. Mainly because I don't have the full set yet.

Thank you @benjinito for starting this thread and I appreciate your feedback re: the box Kelly as I’m also wishing for something in box.

Best purchases:

Bag: definitely my retourne Kelly 25 malachite matte alligator in GHW. It’s a gorgeous color and I never thought I’d like a retourne Kelly but the slouchiness, the size and the larger handle have all worked out well for a casual daily bag

Non-bag: flore 60 mules - I don’t love the H buckle most of the time but the color is my favorite and I have worn them a ton in the spring/summer/early fall

Worst purchases:

Bag: I only bought 2 QBs and 1 NQB this year so my least favorite is probably the B25 in Jaune poussin since 1) I’d already had 2 other B25 and 2) it’s the least versatile color out of the 3 bags I bought this year

Non-bag: a tie between the vert criquet/vert d’eau touch Pegasus charm, and the Farandole necklace in silver. One thing they have in common: they are both “popular” according to my SA (which is why I impulsively bought them) but charms and (most) H silver jewelry are not for me

Much easier to think of best purchases…I’d rather not consider the money I spent on something that has turned out not to be a ‘best’ but a ‘worst’ 😱

Best purchases:
  • Bag: B30 in Craie PHW. On my wishlist for over three years and a total surprise as I hadn’t expected to purchase two bags from my SA this year.
  • Other: gold chaîne d’ancre bracelet found in Paris…supposedly ordered by a customer for whom it was too small and the only one? Great sales tactic!
Worst purchases:
  • Bag: NA. I purchased two B30s this year (the Craie mentioned above and a VC with PHW) and I love them both.
  • Other: probably the cream cashmere tee…I have it in noir and bleu noir and wear both iterations often but don’t reach for the cream very often. There’s also a 90 that I love in theory but have never actually worn. 😳

Best Bags: B25 in Bleu Jean GHW and my Kelly Danse in Gold. Love both so much 🥰
Best non bag: my H cardigan. So easy to wear and so warm and cozy. Bought it in two colors.
Also my scarves and scarf rings. Have recently dipped my toe into the silks and just love adding these beautiful pieces to any outfit!

Worse : bag strap that doesn’t match my bags like I was hoping. Isn’t as useful as I was hoping 😕

Best purchase:
  • Bag: B25 Vert Comics PHW - all the sweeter bc it was a complete surprise (my only wishlist bag was a ML as I thought my Bambou B30 would be my only boutique Birkin)
  • Non-Bag: Farandole 120, would wear everyday if I could (doesn’t really go with sweats!)
Worst purchase:
  • Bag: This year I bought a green Birkin, a green mini Evelyne and a green mini Lindy…. TBD if any of them are a bad purchase- currently I love all 3
  • Non-Bag: Twillaine - big meh

@parisistherapy, thanks so much for sharing. It’s funny that your current wish (box leather) is on my worst list, and my current wish (Jaune poussin) is on your worst list :lol:

This is fun! Love reflecting for the new year and hopefully we appreciate and reflect for the next year!

Best purchases:
  • Bag: Tie between Kelly Danse (so usable for everyday!) and B35 Barenia, one of my holy grails that i've beaten up this past year during travels. It's big and heavy but it is an amazing and beautiful travel and work bag! Fits my 14" laptop perfectly!
  • Other: H Bounce Sneakers, love them. Goes with all outfits and comfortable!!
Worst purchases:
  • Bag: If i had to pick.. kelly to go - it's cute when just used as an accessory but a pain to get in and out of. I definitely still love it and it's mixed accessory but man... I futz with it forever to get my cards out! Never been a fan of wocs.
  • Other: Funk Boots, the leather is so stiff it's like breaking in patent leather docs but worse. I've worn them once and got gnarly blisters so i continue to reach for other boots.

I too have had my last 3 bags in the green category. No regrets either!! Hermes greens are superior!

Best purchases:
Non-bag: calvi and Bastia in Rose Darling (I am having my late dog painted on them)
Rose gold fluid dress and three coats from the sale

Bag: black MK with GHW, B25 rouge H GHW

Worst purchases:

Bag: lizard Constance -I love Constance and lizard, just the color is very difficult to wear, and I found the same bag heavily discounted brand new on resale - more than $10k less than what I paid in store.

Non-bag: I don’t wear 90 cm scarves anymore but I keep buying them 😅, I don’t know why, Kraft new libris scarf (I loved when I tried in store, I found the color not that great afterwards), Jaime boots, Roar scarf, multicharms scarf. It is clear I need to stop buying scarves.😅High heels I got at the sale which were too high when I paid attention. H Ancre bracelet - I always loved that bracelet, until I realized the H on it. Now I can’t unsee it. A black silk shirt - it is gorgeous, but black is not my color so I should not buy it.
