What did Ben even do after Good Will Hunting? I don't think anything else has measured up. Matt Damon seems to be the actor of the 2 of them, but I don't think Ben has written anything either.

My thoughts exactly.

The above mentioned movies are just movies. None ever touched my soul as Good Will Hunting.

I never viewed him as a talented/ real artist in entertainment. He's good looking alright. The two Jennifers are crazy about him and many more, but I find him just "not bad looking".

I forgot about Gone Girl, which I enjoyed. Also saw The Accountant which I thought was just ok. I just don't think he is anything special.

I think the thing with Ben Affleck that's so fascinating, and what makes him one of my favourite celebrities/actors, is that he seems to have a thing with falling, then rising again.

... no wonder he has that phoenix tattoo!

When he chooses to be all in on a project, there is no doubt that he is talented at what he does.

I've enjoyed him as an actor in movies. Argo, The Accountant... Seems every movie I have seen him in I have liked him in it.

I have not seen Gigli or Batman so maybe I've gotten lucky with what I've seen.

As an actor/producer I like him. But from what I have seen of his personal life he seems insufferable.

This! I’ve seen him in a couple of things after Good Will Hunting but that movie- nothing compares, imo.
But I’m not a movie buff so take my opinion very lightly. I don’t think he’s aged well but that’s not my problem. And while he loves to portray a private life all his pap pics “living his personal life” has me thinking otherwise.

Matt Damon seems to have a much more stable personal life. Still married to first wife almost 20 years with 4 kids. I would go watch a Matt Damon movie over a Ben Affleck movie but if you measure career success with Academy Awards, Matt has the one for Goodwill Hunting while Ben has a second Oscar for Best Picture for Argo which he produced, directed, and acted in. They’ve both been nominated for several other films.

Well he did some good movies IMHO. As mentioned with some extras:
Argo - won academy award for direction
The Town - great heist movie
Gone Girl - big hit
Live by Night - not a big movie but one I really enjoyed mobsters fighting the KKK
The Accountant - not my favorite but getting a sequel.
Justice League
Air - pretty good about the Nike - Michael Jordan story.
He has had a few good ones.

I'm repeating myself but I think he's more legit talented than JLo. Her major talent if self-promotion. she is an ok actress, an ok dancer, a not-so-good singer. but she looks good. that is her accomplishment. (IMO of course)

I think people give Ben too much credit in a lot of ways, but he definitely doesn’t get called out for being thirsty for attention, and he 100% is.

Run Jennifer Garner, please! Just like Jennifer Anistion, run from your ex's !!! these guys are no good. They showed themselves once, and twice and that's plenty. You've both Jenn A and Jenn G given those two too many chances... But, me thought I read somewhere Jenn G and Ben were in an open relationship when they were married.
