He is an addict. Until he deals with that, he will not have any type of successful relationship. Plus, he might have some mental health co-morbidity as well.
He sounds exhausting and is aware enough to turn on the charm to hook the person and go back to being unbearable.
That engraving in Jlo ring? Manipulating to the 10th level.
Not going anywhere….. with you! Gotcha.
How can Jlo heal from all that crap? OTOH, at 55 she is old enough to know better.

Speaking with Good Morning America in December 2021, Affleck opened up about his role as a father and how his kids' opinions are the only ones that matter to him.

"I will be long dead and someone will ask my kids, 'What was your dad like?' and that is when I will know what my life was worth," he said.

Huh? Does he know something we don't about the afterlife?

People is definitely trying to make him look bad. Stepparent/stepchildren relationships are often tricky. Just because he may not have bonded with her kids the way she did with his doesn't make him a villain. My cynical side says she may have intentionally, consciously or not, formed a strong bond with his oldest daughter Violet as a way to keep a hold on him. I remember reading when she was with A Rod that their four kids, her twins and his two daughters, had bonded so well. I wonder how that's going? I personally know of some very tangled marital relationships, and my sympathy is always for the kids involved.

Let’s not forget this famous Garner quote who doesn’t speak publicly about her family, but this nugget here was so telling about Ben:

So, Ben's production company produced the documentary "The Greatest Love Story Never Told" and, apparently, the whole thing was his idea and he molded and controlled the narrative for publicity.

It really seems like he duped her big-time. It seems like their PR teams are in overdrive trying to control the narrative of why they split, where it went wrong, etc. The weird part is that for months they were silent letting the media gossip about the state of their marriage and now everyone's chattering. We are definitely in the Spin Zone now.

She is totally delulu to think that doc/movie was flattering/interesting. According to Amazon, there is an upstick in viewership.
OTOH, it appears that Ben is one of those fair weather person. He was obviously participating/producing the project, thus he was not really opposed to it. He is mad that they both look cray.
