I got the email today. I think we all knew this was coming for quite some time. Very sad. Great leather bags. I wish they had more at the sale, hoping to see more older styles like Love Me's from the archives but mostly London Totes. Anyone getting anything or offered anything special from Jackie?

I have a couple BE bags and did get the email this morning. So YES I did order one that I had wished that I had ordered before...............I ordered the Port with silver hardware Love Me Midi. Am excited to be getting this beautiful bag.
Am sad that they will be closing up.

Oh enjoy ur LMM, I'm jealous!!! I stopped buying BE a few years ago, partly because I preferred the old styles rather than stuff with lots of zips/ hardware ( but that's just me,)!, mostly because the resale value was terrible and I felt like if I didn't get on with a bag I was wasting £££ on the resale market... As I'm not earning these days I have less money to make mistakes on with my clothes and bags, so tend to stick to LV and Hermes as I know they will hold the value... It's sad that BE are closing and wishJackie well with whatever she does next. Sadly I think their customer base was saturated and however loyal your customer base there is a limit to the number of bags you can sell to the same people.... I guess starting the diffusion line a few years ago was an attempt to bring the cost base down a little as some of their bags were edging upwards in price towards Bal/mulberry etc...?

I only started buying BE in 2011 so was late to the party. I'm really sad about this because there were quite a few bags I would have BEC'd had I know it really was a last chance.

I actually prefer all the zips and hardware. I did buy the last grey New York satchel in small.

I saw that LMM. I have a bag that color. If it was one of their spectacular purples I would have jumped on it. The totes are still expensive are still expensive to buy in the US even with the sale price. Think a lot of BE woes were marketing. They needed a US shop where people could order bags from or see them IRL. If BE launched now with Twitter etc I think they could have been successful. The product was great, the Bespoke bags are something few were doing. I wanted so many but it was hard to take the plunge having not seen the styles IRL and ending up with custom bag you cannot return or take a bath reselling. I have 2 BE bespoke bags that I love and will never sell. I would love to snap up a Purple LM Midi or Mini. Or a cool pink, perhaps a TME bag

Thanks for letting me know. So you think the bag and color I ordered will be nice?? I really really hope so, as I agree even with the sale price they are expensive.

I just tend to wear a lot of Hermes scarves and cashmere a, so always worry about zips etc catching and pulling my scarves... Having said that I'm now thinking about all the BEs I had over the years ( and sold,) and wishing I'd kept,,,! Enjoy your new bag

Congratulations. I had this bag once but returned it because it was a touch too big for me. However it was a stunning colour, very rich and the silver hw looked absolutely great. I think you'll love it!

Wow I can only imagine what's it like wearing H scarves, my best ones never cost more than £40. But I agree, with those scarves you definitely wouldn't want them damaged.

And thanks [emoji3]

Apologies as I'm very late to all this, as I'm not on Facebook much, but catching up on the BE demise I looked at the FB page and couldn't work out why there were so few postings from the last year.. There was something about new bag styles promised, but it infuriates me when companies try and use social media as a way to create demand/ expectation for their goods, then understand if you do this it has to be responsive and continually updated, like a dialogue..... If BEs aim was to create a unique bond with their customers rather than a mass market approach then just posting stuff about ponchos and NY fashion week blog was never going to suffice.... Whatever was happening within the company ( someone said Jackie was on maternity leave etc) then that void should have been filled somehow or your existing customers will just vote with their feet.... It's sad because I loved their bags ( earlier rather than later ones) and wanted them to succeed...its fine putting stuff on FB about promised new colours, styles etc but when that isn't followed up or explained then there's a bit of a hollow feeling left for the customer.... guess the personalisation issue was what bought a lot of customers to BE, and when BEC finished you were just left with buying stock bags off the website.... I think that by far the best advert for BE was real women carrying their bags and using them in their day to day lives - juggling work/kids/husbands etc and all that the demands of 21st century life throw at us!!!

It is a sad day indeed. I have high hopes that a small business like this would work against the giant money machine. Her designs, material, craftmanship from Marco was stellar.
Her designs speaks to me...I love my BEs...my biggest regret was doing s BEC TMA midi in Choc Matte instead of a LM Midi. I miss my Choco Matte and also regret using Sheen leather on my MMS midi, CMMidi and Tote Me Midi..
Though the colors of sheen leathers are beautiful, they are not as sturdy as other leathers

I wish Jackie well and hope someday BE will be revived...

Yes I wonder what Jackie is doing now? Is she back to practicing law? Staying home with the baby? Hope she does well. The concept was great and I applaud her no matter what for taking a risk.
