I have been hesitant to purchase a mini E just because of worrying about the single braided strap slipping so when one popped up on Bonanzle in a leather I was interested in for a super price I jumped! :yahoo: It's always best to keep our Ignes babies in the family anyway, right? So, she arrived yesterday after a long trip across the 'pond' as they say! (They do say that, right? LOL!) She has settled in nicely and has made herself right at home here in the northern plains! Let me also say that her designer was a very clever woman! This is a beautiful bag and hangs just oh-so-right on my sloping, slippery shoulders! So, here is a bit of purse porn for you ladies that I hope will hold you over until some new bags begin to arrive! Word is that Ms. Virginia will be joining us today! :graucho:

This is a very unusual leather with lots of veininess to it, slouchy yet still somewhat structured so it'd be great for many of their bags. It's not golden but maybe bronzey, brown but not very! It is simply stunning with gold brushed hw! And it is the most lightweight bag I own! I'm glad I was able to adopt this bag! Thanks to her previous bag mom!

Well, it's more of a true hobo than the TME or LM midis so it's a different experience to carry it. I'd say that I can put just as much in this bag as I could either of the midis. I have considered a LM Mini because the Midi was just a bit too boxy for me. This bag has a soft bottom so it hangs very nicely and slouches perfectly but I don't feel like I'm reaching into a black hole. I love my BEs but given the choice of a TME Midi, LM Midi or this one, I'd have to say I'd chose this because of comfort and ease in use. I can reach in my bag while it's hanging on my shoulder to grab what I'm after! And I am seriously amazed at the weight! I pulled it out of the box expecting this heavy bag because of the braid, hardware and leather but it is so light! I hope that helps!

ETA: I love this size and find it perfect for everyday but I could also see owning another one in the regular size too in a very soft puddley leather! Tinted chocolate in a regular Emilia would be pure heaven!

Wow....she is simply stunning!

I love your pics, the setting is gorgeous! I'm envious of your wide open spaces!

The color looks really unique ...almost silvery? Do you think this leather would work with silver hw?

Thanks, everyone!! SK, I'm not sure how silver would look as the leather has a goldish/bronzish sheen to it. But then again maybe silver hardware would bring a different shade out of it rather than the goldish one that is present now? It's a great bag and a great choice of leather and lining!

Thanks for the reply on the size, TL! I have been wondering if the mini E would work for me b/c I thought the mini Sophia would, but found that too small.

BTW- the tan TME midi has been my bag for the last two weeks! It is breaking in to an almost butterscotch color and losing the orange tone- really interesting.

Elizat, I think a mini E would work for you as it's about the same size as a midi sophia. Or at least it can hold as much as a midi sophia would IMHO. Oh, I bet your tme midi is stunning! BE's matte leathers are wonderful to watch as they 'age'!

Good Lord woman, you sure know how to take a good picture! When Maria sent me a pic of a bag in this leather, I thought "Um, no", but your pictures show its beauty! I had no idea it looked so awesome!

Seriously, you need to send these to Maria - she needs to hire you or at the very least use your pictures instead of what they are using right now.

Oh, and hot bag too!
