Bearn vs Kelly wallets

Although I love the look of the Kelly wallet, I would very much prefer my Bearn wallet because it's more practical IMO. I don't carry much in my wallet, so a bifold works fine for me.

i own a bearn and i find it difficult to close as the strape tends to split if u dont slip it carefully, im not sure u know what i mean. sorry to be out of topic, i was offered a constance wallet before i purchase my bearn and i regreted it now, does anyone have say on constance wallet as in opening and closing, capacity and practicality?

Besides the exotics, do the Bearn wallets only come in either Epsom and chèvre?

Which is a better leather to get for the Bearn wallet? Epsom or chèvre? TIA

I owned Epsom bearn somehow I prefer chèvre more than Epsom simply because it's softer. Unlike Epsom looks plasticity. This is just my own opinion.

I tried on the Constance wallet last week. You have to pull and tuck at the horizontal bar on the H. It look too painful for me and can't imagine what the wallet will look like on that part after a while.... But it is really spacious and can double up as a clutch.

Pandada, bearns are easier to find than Kelly and also slightly lower priced and come in more colours. Bearns could be found on walk in. I've seen so many just by walk in. But if you have some colour in mind it is better to ask te SA as te colours that you picked are very popular and move quickly.

Kelly wallets can double as a clutch bag but bearns can't. Bearns are very flat and compact which is a benefit. The K wallet can be irritating when you need to pay in a hurry or pack into a small handbag.

It really depends on your lifestyle and habits. For me I'm a carry as little as possible person. So I use a silkin wallet which carries all
My cash, cards, key, phone. My K is a shoulder bag for dinners and functions when I need my hands free.

I have been waiting more than 1 year for a Kelly long wallet in a shade of blue. :(
I don't know if you have found your kelly wallet but there's a blue jean colourway in Atlanta store 2 days ago. I was offered it but I want Orange in Epsom which is proving difficult to find! I have also found one in Rose Jaipur/Epsom but I am wondering if I should hold out for the Classic Orange?! If anyone has any of these colours, pls let me know your thoughts! TIA

When I was looking for my KL wallet in bouganvillea, I was told the classic colors such as orange are easier to come by. (I lucked out w/DH scoring the bouggie KL in London.)

As a comment on the constance wallet, I have the compact in yellow lizzie, beautiful but not near as practical as some other styles, but I love the clasp and mine just pops open. I've read others comment about the bar on the H being difficult to open so this makes me question why some are a real pain to open while others not. (Is there an adjustment we don't know about?)

I love the kelly wallet, especially over the bifold bearn which for me does not hold enough. However, I find the kelly irritating to get in to. I think the bearn is more practical.

I agree. It was too much hassle for me. The Bearn was too small. Finally got the Azap and it's perfect.
