Yes It was a regular (light) grey patent bays - but you see I didn't check for the red suede lining or wheels as there was no bentley sign and that was before I Read what Flossie had written about the bentleys that didn't quite make the grade and so had mulberry stamped on them. But they looked a very light grey when I saw them - not at all dark or two toned like the bentley - and when I asked the attendant she said the bentleys weren't available any more - but this is a small mulberry outlet in sellfridges - but then even the bond street boutique said they were finished. so I will ring mulberry enquiries tomorrow and hopefully get some more solid and reliable info - otherwise I hope, like flossie to find a bentley that wasn't upto scratch and so labelled a mulberry instead - but will double check the selfridges ones, and ask their price too

You're SOOOOOOO LUCKY! I hope I'm as fortunate as you are - which outlet did you get yours from? There's a Mulberry in Bicester village near Oxford - but last time I went there was nothing - But its one of those chance things isn't it? I will ring the Bicester outlet too - Flossie your info has been so helpful its unbelievable!! thanks to you I know there is still a glimmer of hope of my finding my Bentley bays - please post some pictures in the meanwhile!

Thanks Ivoire. Can you also check if it has metal feet?

I've been searching for the light grey patent Bays and since I don't have access to outlets I'd sort of given up.

Shouldn't get my hopes up though since even if that is indeed the Bays you saw, there's still the whole question of how to actually get my hands on it (living in Denmark) :sweatdrop:

Don't worry Livia - will check it when I Next go to sefridges (hopefully soon!) but are you after the normal light grey patent bays or the bentley bays (with the mulberry stamp?) - Also as for how to get hold of it that might be a problem - unless selfridges ship abroad which I think is unlikely- but you could check just to be doubly sure. Also have you checked all the mulberry stores near you in denmark?

Also flossie whereabouts is SM? if you don't mind my asking do you live in britain or america? because if this outlet (is SM the full name?) is in the USA - that might be a slight problem for me living in the UK!

I think the light grey patent bays will never match upto the bentley in my opinion - the bentley bays has that beautiful dark two tone grey patent leather - its just so beautiful it can't be matched. If I cant get a bentley bays I think instead of the light grey patent bays I will settle for the bayswater in stone (currrently on the mulberry website under bags for the current season....) In classic leather which has a beauty totally different to the bentley bays so it won't be like a ''second best'' like the light grey patent bays. Instead it will be a variation of the concept of the 'Grey coloured Bayswater' bag. A classic leather grye as opposed to the bentley patent grey.
Well thats what I plan to do if I can't secure a Bentley!

Flossie that is brilliant as I think my parents might also be planning a trip to bath! - but just the number it self will be brilliant as then I can ring them directly to enquire about the bentley - Thank you so much!

And here they both are!

Ivoire, I'm actually after the normal light grey patent Bays. I love the color. I've searched all (two) Mulberry stores in Denmark and generally looked everywhere I can think of. So my only chance would be the outlets (though they definately don't ship overseas) or that it would just sit somewhere in a store without being on a homepage.

But I think you're right in that it could be difficult for me to get my hands on it even if it is indeed the regular light grey Bays that you saw in Selfridges.

Livia, can't you ask Mulberry Denmark to take one home for you?
I did that with my little bays keyring. They normally didn't take those home to Sweden but when I asked there was no problem.

Well, last week I was in Mulberry Copenhagen and I told the SA I was desperately looking for one. She told me she herself is looking for one and that it is sold out everywhere. She could be wrong of course and if that was indeed a light grey patent Bays that Ivoire saw in Selfridges then she is wrong.

I might ask again next time ... while looking absolutely desperate :crybaby: I'll see if that helps.
