Wow you did an incredible job!!!! Huge thanks to the amazing Doc for saving the day. I will add that something similar happened to my best friend soon after she got her Barenia, but she knew it was wine, and she also managed (withwater and the aforementioned patience) to restore her bag to perfect. Yay Barenia!

Thanks so much for all the support & sweet comments, ladies! And I'm so sorry for the late reply here; Thanksgiving was a lot of work. :D

Yeah, that was definitely a scary process but if anyone would like the gruesome details, please DM me. I am happy to share and really hope that this thread helps. <3

Almost died today! :wtf: Like the OP, I had NO idea how a speck of (what I think to be) red wine got on my BF Birkin. Granted, it was a speck and I know these things will happen if I carry the bag, but as my SA said, the first is the worst! I remembered reading that water works wonders w this leather so a dabbed a little on...my mistake was rubbing...DO NOT EVER RUB THIS LEATHER...bec you will “flatten” the grain. I thought I made it worse, but DH days it looked about the same. After I got home, I tossed and turned for a few hours...couldn’t sleep so I started researching and found this thread, and a few others. I ended up dabbing the spot w a wet q-tip, then applying corn starch. OMG What happened next was MAGIC! The spot disappeared! 38096A42-4A6A-4D5A-9A56-6653EAA51CE6.jpeg (Crazy how different lighting affects the picture, but you can see the offending spot in the before picture and then, VIOLA!, it’s gone!)

Something similar happened to me too except with sweet tea. I dabbed it with a wet qtip and the stain immediately disappeared before my eyes as the water evaporated. You can literally see then water spot get smaller and smaller and smaller until it was just a flawless BF again.

Try talcum powder. If it is an oil based stain it will soak it up. It won’t damage the leather.
Dear bababebi,
Please excuse me for writing to you on a post from 2018. But I'm a little desperate. Today someone dripped salad dressing on my Barenia Kelly (thank God only 3 very small drops - but spread over the front) and then 1 drop of disinfectant. I tried it with distilled water - nothing. The disinfectant drop is rather bigger. I have now applied talcum, but I can't manage to dust only the tiny droplets.

My questions:
1. Does talcum powder dry out the barenia leather?
2. How long should I leave the talcum powder on?
3. Should I only wipe the talcum dry or should I wipe the whole bag damp (with water or distilled water? Dry dusting has spread the talcum powder over the bag and I am not sure, if this will dry out the whole bag. Oh, it would be too nice, if you could answer me.

This is not red wine related but I am hoping someone can help. I have gotten sunscreen on my evercolor leather bag and I've tried water but the liquid seems to get in between the grain and I cannot get it out. Any suggestion help. I am too scared to try anything else other than water...
