I was also going to wait for more information on the Barenia Gator, but this came to my local store and it has a rubis interior (like the kelly eclat style). Now i will wait for you ladies to make your barenia gator purchases in future.

I asked my SM about this after it was featured in the last Hermes book I received. It was so stunning! I was hoping for a bracelet... She said the information regarding this gorgeous bag was very scarce. I recall she indicated that she wasn't even certain if the bags would be produced or maybe widely produced. I had this conversation with her back in November so I'm going off memory. She said chances of a bracelet or SLGs in general were about zero.

I can't wait to if someone here purchases one!

I am wondering if the Barenia treatment of the gator will make the bag as scratchable as regular Barenia. Does the old Fauve croc ages as regular barenia (darkening of the handles....)?

The Barenia alligator Birkin was not available to order at podium and as mp4 said there is not certainty that Hermes will even produce this bag.

My SA, bless him, has been trying to get to the bottom of this for me with Paris and they have stated exactly the same info as mp4 was told. Hermes may or may not produce it and even if they do it may only be offered to certain countries.

I may order a matte fauve bag in gator or preferably croc now instead, as I feel I could be waiting forever for this bag and I'm sure it will look very similar!

I just bought a birkin 30 from resellers. And the receipt it stated Sac Birkin 30 Alligator Mississipiensis Barenia .Fauve.
Is this means its a barenia alligator?

It actually just look like a fauve aligator birkin.I myself can't see the different.Only thing is the descriptions written on the receipt then I was sooo surprised when I read the barenia word stated on the receipt.

Yes,it's soft but it's almost the same feeling as other Matt gator.
I'm not sure whether its only name stated at the receipt for fauve which color looks like fauve barenia,or its treated with oil and make the way like barenia leather.
Because it really feels and look like ordinary alligator birkin."confused too"
