And with people anxious to get this before it sells out, we are ripe for the picking. - It is absolutely nothing personal against you or the other poster. It's just a good practice.

I will also never EVER buy from, donate to, renew a subscription or upgrade my service to anyone who calls me on the phone. I HAVE to assume everyone is trying to scam me. That's how I can make sure no one scams me.

That being said, I finally do see here on the site with ability to pre-order.

Seeing other sites member's have stated are selling this Barbie, I think Coach may have 1,000 to sell (at least initially) while the rest are available at Mattel or wherever.

EDIT: Just now seeing Paula3boys' post. I agree.

BarbieCollector.com notes it's a Gold Label doll, which are dolls with a production of 25,000 or less worldwide. Platinum dolls are 1,000 or less worldwide.
Since people are hearing Coach has about 1,000 or so for sale, plus Mattel will be selling it, and articles on the web are saying 13,000 were produced, we can safely assume there were more than 1,000 made.

ETA: BarbieCollector has a limit of 5 dolls per order. That's a sign there are a lot more than 1,000 of them. Coach doesn't seem to have a limit of 1 or 2 either.

Just ordered mine. She told me it was back ordered until August 19th and only 1,000 were made and they have been getting a lot of calls about it. I couldn't use my PCE coupon on it but was able to get free shipping :)
