I was just able to order one. It's under the features section but it kept disappearing. Once I saw it appear again I was able to order it. Already got the email confirmation. I just looked again after I ordered it and it was not there again...weird.

Yay! I just ordered one as well, haven't gotten shipping conf yet. Didn't want to wait for PCE and risk it being sold out. Now I have time to think whether I want to get one for each of my girls later with PCE or make them share :)

This is the article that says amount
BEST DRESSED: Barbie is getting a wardrobe makeover on both sides of the Atlantic. The doll just got outfitted in London by British designers, and today Coach unveiled a collaboration with Mattel on a collector’s edition Barbie decked out in an original head-to-toe look by the brand, complete with a handbag designed in miniature proportions — Barbie’s first-ever genuine leather accessory. In addition to the Classic Duffle bag in red, made in the same factories and with the same leather and hardware detailing used for the brand’s consumer handbags, Barbie wears a Classic Trench in tattersall over a striped sweater, an ultrasuede skirt and heels and red sunglasses from the brand’s collection. Mattel produced 13,000 dolls to retail for $95 each, launching on coach.com and at most Coach retailers internationally, as well as at Mattel specialty stores worldwide.

Lol um ya cute..

Anyway I'm sure there will be more probably too many people ordering at one time. With 13,000 they won't run out

Not trying to be cute. I always proceed with a preponderance of caution. I never trust a link anyone else has posted on the internet to go forward with a transaction. For just looking at something, sure. But I'm sure that's how my eBay account was hacked a few years ago. Someone posted a hey-look-at-this-listing link. And from there I didn't think about it and wound up signing into my eBay account. It's basic internet safety / identity theft protection / fraud protection to not trust a link that an anonymous stranger has posted on the internet.

Good idea order tomorrow

I would not have posted a link I didn't check first..

This is unfortunate! We had a really bad storm in the middle of the night and we now have no power. The only thing I have is my iPhone which people have already figured out isn't working to order Barbie. I just hope we get power before they are all sold out!

I'm not accusing you of anything. I don't know who you are. But that's the point, I don't know who you are. You are an anonymous person on the internet. You could be a scammer, or you could be an honest helpful forum member (which I'm sure is the case), but the point is, it's never a good idea to trust an anonymous stranger on the internet because there are scammers. - I wasn't talking about your link specifically. Someone else posted it too (another fairly regular forum member)... but the one right before her post was a brand new member, 1 post, who posted something that another member identified as advertising/phishing. So within this thread, there was a scamming attempt. And with people anxious to get this before it sells out, we are ripe for the picking. - It is absolutely nothing personal against you or the other poster. It's just a good practice.

I will also never EVER buy from, donate to, renew a subscription or upgrade my service to anyone who calls me on the phone. I HAVE to assume everyone is trying to scam me. That's how I can make sure no one scams me.

That being said, I finally do see here on the site with ability to pre-order.

ETA: Looks like the advertising/phishing post by the newbie was already deleted by a mod.
