Guys someone please virtual hi-5 me!!!! currently on holidays and all the chanel boutique told me that mini rectangle is sold out, and then I walked into one and saw the most gorgeous iridescent/metallic pink crumpled calfskin mini!!!! I know I’m after a mini at some point but this one is truly gorgeous and maybe a little high maintenance? The SA spoke little english and was super nice. Next thing you know it was on reserve for me! It was truly a FOMO moment as it’s the only one left in the country, to make it worse my bf won’t leave the area and kept on egging me to get it!!! I hesitated, returned when I was about to leave, and then had dinner in the neighbourhood. In the end I walked away from the bag TWICE knowing it could easily be mine......

My guy is laughing so hard because I’m laughing but crying on the inside LOL. I hope that bag goes to someone who can truly appreciate its beauty, and not a reseller.

So I’m still on the ban island.
Wow, it sounds gorgeous! Great job!!

I dropped off some clothes at a consignment place today, third trip - so it was just a few straggler items. My eye immediately noticed a Chanel Filigree large flap, beige with black trim I have been eyeballing/stalking for the last two years. I tried it on, took pictures on my shoulder and crossbody. I took a deep breath and put it down. Then I picked up another pretty Chanel bag, light taupe Chevron flap. It was so lovely. Both bags were tempting. Thankfully, I was able to leave empty handed. When I got home, I was able to reassure myself that in that colour family (neutral) I like my Silver Metallic Camera Case and my Etain Bolide more. Phew, dodged the urge today but the pull was strong!:angel::girlsigh:
Another great win!!

I think I have it! Drat it all, I don't get to purchase the pouch I was eyeballing. Well, it will still be there when ban is over. If I still want it, I can get it then.

Here is what I found. Purple is my favorite color. The solid purple was a gimme from Younique makeup my niece was selling. It has the headphones and one extra lightning cable and earbuds that are wrapped up. The two little pouches will have the in-use lightning cable and earbuds. I can place them inside the purple pouch open, slide the cords in, and BAM!, good to go. The little pouches are from a trip to Las Vegas hubs and I did last October. They have dragons on them, something I collect.

I still have the coach wristlet coming. I've been looking for a change purse. Hopefully this will work for that, or substitute for the buds/cord.

P.S. I made the paisley-ish bag on the bottom of the last pic. One of my first sewing projects. :)

Gorgeous pouches!

Mortgage free is an amazing feeling! DH and I paid extra payments nearly every month from the time we refinanced our home the first time a few years in. When his mother passed away she had a small estate. We used his inheritance to pay off what was left on our mortgage. She'd have been very pleased with our decision to use it for that. We paid it off in about 20 years.

Business debt is different, it needs to happen sometimes. As does car debt from time to time. When I purchased my last car I had made "payments" into a special account that was only for my car down payment. I knew this last purchase would be for a vehicle with bells and whistles. I saved for several years while driving my 1998 love. When it came time to purchase I had one heck of a down payment, and didn't finance much. I don't drive a fancy car, but it has leather, heated seats (soooooo needed in SoCal!), and GPS!! I paid it off early. Of course, I miss my beloved '98 Forrunner. Sometimes I wish I had just fixed it up...ah well.

I am still doing well with non-purchasing. I find it amazing how I can rationalize a purchase...Here is my latest weak attempt.

Two weeks ago tomorrow I fell HARD. Bruised up my ribs pretty well. So now my pea brain is saying well, perhaps you DO need to take your rolling carry-on, and get that cute pouch you were eyeing that you decided you don't need (that just happens to have a crossbody strap). That way nothing will be hanging off your shoulder hitting your ribs. Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket!

Oh my stars!! For real? LAME! I may indeed switch to the rolling tote (I already own it) if the ribs are still sore...but I still don't need the pouch.
I just got over bruised ribs. It took a long time and was painful! I dreaded to even sneeze! Hope you're feeling better soon.

I am not doing good :(
My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and I am returning to old coping mechanisms. Food and shopping.
So far I habe gained 3 kg and 2 bags.

But intend to return the bags as soon as the mail delivers it, without even touching it.
Other than the bags I am doing fine.

I live in a small city apartment with my family. So we lack space. I only have 2 m of closet space for all my clothes and all the household textiles. Storing space is scarce. I usually keep my summer/winter clothes in big boxes underneath my bed.
This year I have not exchanged the clothes. I am still wearing the few pieces of winter clothes that were left in the laundry when I switched clothes last winter/spring. Other than that my wardrobe only contains summer clothes. I only have 6 blouses, 2 pairs of pants and 3 dresses with leggings......but!!!!! This is enough!
I work in medicine so I change clothes due to hygienical reasons for work anyway.
This made me really think hard why I spent so much for clothes.

Other than bag shopping I am doing good. Not buying anything except food and gas.
Stress shopping is what I'm good at too. I'm sorry about your mom's diagnosis and prayers she kicks it's butt to the curb!

Possibly being bad....I found another high quality bag, used in pristine condition, same color, different brand that I also collect - for a fraction of the cost. It's only $24. Hmmmmm........and I know for sure I could use it easily, whereas I am tempted to see if I can with the expensive one, but not sure - I wonder if that element of "taking a chance" on something just outside my comfort zone is part of what feeds this addiction.

Don’t you have other high quality bags you can use instead? It’s only $24, but it all adds up.

That is totally true! I do have others. Not this color - I think it's the color that's sucking me in. But then also the deal - those are the things that have gotten me in the past. And that feeling that, "Oh, this will be the last one".

There’s never a last one lol. You’ll always be able to find something else if needed but it doesn’t sound like a need, just a want.
