Question of the day: Why is it that Bal themselves don't have all the latest Bal items that for ex Italist and Département Féminin have? It's the same with Chloé. Even department stores carry things you never see on the brands' own websites. I can explain the store lame stock - they request basis their demand and best-sellers, but why not to list FULL on official site??? mystery....
It is a mystery. The thing is that many of these items never even show up on the official sites. So if they're out of stock they're sold out at the manufacturers'?

I bet, they are made in very limited quantity, and it makes more sense to give them to the online re-sellers, a lot more customers are browsing online and items listed "with" another get a lot more views (i think Matches gives the links under the listing, e.g. Bal bag and all other clothes and shoes on the model to get the look)
A couple of things. Depending on which SA has the correct info, Bal is either discontinuing the G12 or will be making it in limited amounts. Add to that a fairly hefty price increase for the 2018 season. Nordstroms in Vancouver will ship, if you're interested to see if they have anything PM me for my SA's info. Holt's will also ship, if you have a decent SA in Toronto they should be able to search their stores for the bag you want. Yes, Shopstyle just searches out the best prices I believe, then links you to the seller? I think we have to trust that the major department stores are safe to purchase from (and I do know that some have said that unscrupulous people have purchased authentic bags and returned fakes to department stores but that would be an anomaly not the norm IMO).

I don't carry shoulder bags - I love carrying on the crook of the arm, and I like crossbody. I have a black covered city in the regular size which I adore, but I don't want a town/city/first/similar shapes because I want to try something new! That's the same reason I'm looking for purple or red, because I already have a black city which is just the perfect black bag. I also like how blingy G21 hardware is.
My favorite Balenciagas have been the kind of funny, kind of funky shapes, like the sphere or box or pompon. If you can recommend any oddball styles I may have missed please let me know!
I still have my eye on that grape Day, but I'd rather wait another two weeks for the black Friday sale because I want to add a crossbody strap to make it more suited to my needs; the little bit of cash saved with a coupon would be able to cover the cost of the strap!
Hmmm, how about the Twiggy? It really does depend on how large you want, there are all sorts of Sunday, RTT, Mid Afternoon, etc bags. and a lot of them come with G21 HW. You may find the Day a little large for a cross body, depends on your height.Thanks for taking the time to answer me!

The pic you posted is so much nicer than the promotional shots! I didn't realise it's supposed to slouch - I thought it's going to be structured oval and was so perplexed why Balenciaga came out with such.
That was why i said "She inspired me" to get it! But her's was in calf leather which i couldn't get. Mine is Agneau, i hope it will one day slouch like hers
