I come to notice that mostly the permanent collection has the lion head buttons and the seasonal items often have Balmain logo buttons. As said, my black and blue wool blazers have lion head buttons and the white one has Balmain logo buttons. The gold colour on white one is lighter as well.

Just scored this baby from NM for $800! It’s a size 10 and I’m normally a 12. What do you think? Does it look good?

Thank you for your honesty. I think if I leave it open, it looks good? The price is SO GOOD and I adore the color.
Because your base is all black, you can get away with it. But even at such a great price, 800 is no small amount to be sacrificed for an unideal fit. Balmain does bright colors every season, and you can get your size if you stalk the sales. That's how I grew my collection.

But my seamstress eye is noticing the slight pulling in the mid-to-lower arm area. Is it tight there?
I too love the colour but I think it looks too tight and it looks shrunken on you when left open. It also looks too tight in the upper arm and lower arm and across the waist area. I find Balmain unforgiving size wise and a label that is hard to go down a size. It is a good deal but you can find deals in Balmain. Better to wait for something that is in your size because those deals exist.
