ok i posted this in the general section because i want an unbiased opinion...

Do you like Balenciaga bags?

Not to sound ignorant/stupid/wierd/dumb or anything else.

what is it that you like about them?
i love the LEATHER, quality & that it doesn't scream designer! like most designer bags with logo or monogram everywhere

Do you think its a fad or a permanent lovely classic bag?
permanently lovely classic bag to me, i don't care what people said

I cant seem to find a good reason to get one, im not comparing it to chanel or LV or hermes because they're not the same.
hmm... once you hold the bag and used it, that's when most people started to fall in love more with this bag :p

i want one, but another part of me says no.

Can you tell me any reasons why you like it (BESIDES QUALITY, because all these bags we know were made with QUALITY)
the leather quality is AWESOME, i love that this bag will get better and better with use.
also that it's not a spoiled bag, i hate to worry about my vachetta in my LV bag, but this balenciaga bags can stand water stains.
i also love that this bag will get slouchy and softer after use

I think the fact that it has no obvious logo and is very understated - that's a big pull for me. I don't own any b-bags yet but I've fallen in love with them just from the pictures and descriptions on tPF :love:

thanks, im really leaning into getting one, but i think i want an older one, ive NEVER bought off ebay, but since we have a lovely authentication thread, i want to get one from 04 or 05 :D since i heard the leather was thicker.....which i LOVE

Balenciaga's bags are incredibly light, there are so many beautiful colors to choose from. If you have doubts, don't go for it though. Hermes, Chanel, and LV are considered classics, but there are people who don't love them.

Okay....please don't laugh, but where do you get your bags? I looked at Elux and they have none. Ebay is dangerous. So...is there a place or site that has them, and where could you get a 2004 0r 2005 b-bag at a discount? I did get to see one and the leather was so nice. It was a Doctor's wife, and I didn't want to ask her where she got it. Small city here.

I have been collecting designer bags for ten years and my black city bag is probably my all-time favorite (with the possible exception of one of my Bottegas). The bag is lightweight, versatile, functional, and despite heavy use, still looks as good (perhaps even better) than new. I have found that I can wear this bag with almost anything--from business suits to sweats and somehow it always looks perfect.

I recently purchased a second B-bag and I'm looking forward to adding at least a couple more to my collection. You simply can't go wrong with a B-bag!

I have a sky blue city that I absolutely love. I wear with it pretty much everything and I get so many compliments from relative and friends on how gorgeous the leather is. It's so light weight too and yet so durable. Over the summer, alot of my friends and I visited alot of museums over the summer and had picnics outside and most of the time I carried some sandwichs and picnic clothes ( to lay on the ground ) in my bag and was so durable that i was surprised by how much it could hold. And with the constant use, my bag has gotten even more gorgeous. The leather is so buttery soft and thick now...I just love it.

Definitely go with balenciaga!
