A few reasons, I never reached for it and it became my least used bag. The strap drop was 24 inches which was too long for me. The snap button to open and close was a bit annoying. I used different strap options and found that the sides would form a bend from the strap placement. I liked the idea of it but I simply did not like how it looked on me. I have seen it on a number of other ladies and it looked fabulous on them. I trust this helps.

Longchamp Roseau - because I found an Hermes Drag 2 and didn't feel I needed 2 red bags. (crazy talk I know)
Mz Wallace small Crosby - because it was bigger than I thought it would be and I discovered I don't like dividers in my purses because I can never remember which side I put what on.
Louis Vuitton Favorite Azur - because every time I used it, things fell out and that annoyed the heck out of me.
Tory Burch Perforated Logo Hobo - because it was humongous!
Annabel Ingall Camille Saddle Bag - donated - I liked this as a cross body, but the strap when adjusted to be long enough had a buckle that dug into my back and bothered me. But worst of all was the smell… an awful chemical smell. I don't know if it was something to do with the treatment for the color (it was a lovely metallic gold) or what - but I tried setting it in the sun with fabric softener sheets, charcoal, and even a light vinegar wipe and nothing worked.
Longchamp Paris Rocks - donated - because the flap on the front was so big and floppy.

word of warning - the buy and sell cycle is almost addictive - I am consciously weaning myself of it this year with some ok success - I almost turned into someone who could not hold on to a bag for more than a few weeks before I needed the thrill of the chase again, which has now calmed down a lot
I’m glad to hear it. I read your post and thought that you sold some really awesome bags!

1. Fendi B Bag: out of style
2. Bottega Veneta white tote: white is not a practical color and I found the bag shape annoying
3. Chanel WOC: same as the earlier poster who complained about the chain length and snap closure
4. Chanel white vintage bucket bag: don’t like white bags and it was an annoying shape

I’m toying with selling some LV bags but I don’t think I would get more than $200 for them, so I would rather keep them as beater bags.

Wasn’t really for the thrill of selling. My first two I bought from a charity event to get my foot in the door. I ended up using half the money to get a puppy. The other half was used to buy the preloved speedy.
As much as I wanted to love the Speedy, I am just not a top handle person. I need a strap. So used the money I got from the speedy towards my first new purchase, which is something I’ve always wanted to experience.
I would still have the Graceful if not for the threading coming loose.

yes I did but I genuinely sold only bags that didn't work for me - the issue was at some point just knowing what works for me and then losing sight of the 'real' world in the constant search for the 'perfect' bag - so I shouldn't have bought certain bags in the first place

Off topic, but I have to say your post stopped me in my tracks. Years ago, my DH and I got our puppy at a charity event! :P
I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone else who got their dog this way. BTW, I have volunteered in shelters for years and know this is the absolute “wrong way” to get a dog, but he is the Best. Dog. Ever. I hope you had as good an experience with your dog!

1. Burberry hobo, it turned out I wasn’t a hobo bag girl.
2. LV Speedy 25 with cherries, I think I outgrew it.
3. Givenchy Pandora box, I had similar bags, it didn’t fit my basic essentials.
4. Chanel GST, too boxy, and I couldn’t get over giant logo.

I have to sell my Chanel jumbo, because I got 226 to replace it. But I can’t bring myself, it’s too special.

my list is too long but just a few:
Chanel Mini (square and rectangular) - neither suited my lifestyle or me
Hermes Evelyne (and not just once....) - too casual but I so want to like it
LV Speedy (also here not just once..) - can't deal with the unorganised structure - again I so want to like it
LV Alma - too structured - (yes I am one of those that can't be satisfied..)
any LV mono bec I don't like vachetta
LV Favorite - can't handle the magnetic closure..
Hermes Jige - too overpriced for what it is
various Chanel vintage bags - ,got bored after a while
variety of Saint Laurent - sac de jour, betty, etc... - got over them
Chloe bags - like the Nile - got over it too
Hermes Trim - love the idea but too old school for me - until I found the Gao, same idea but a bit more modern
any Celine - their quality is awful

some truly don't work for me, some I love for a little while but get over eventually - so I want to sell while they are still hot and get a good deal - example: Chloe Nile, still good for a little while, I enjoyed it for a bit and now will pass it on to someone else before it is over and done with
just wondering do you think people could ever make a profit on selling a classic bag like chanel mini square or rectangular? Where is a good place to sell or trade bags without going through sesellers?

I've sold a bunch, but will only list a few below. Cleaned out and continuing to clean out my closet and tighten my collection and only keep what I will use and what bring me happiness

I felt the below bags were too bulky and I wasn't grabbing for them that much:
Celine small trapeze
Celine medium phantom belt tote
Celine medium edge
Balenciaga shopper tote (aka the "ikea bag")
Philip Lim Pashli
Proenza Schouler tote
Givenchy medium pandora
Givenchy medium nightingale
Saint Laurent duffle bag
Saint Laurent college bag

I sold the below because of color.
Celine small trio- also the straps on these I was always afraid they were going to break off.
Goyard Artois PM
Balenciaga city bag- I also found the string-accessories annoying for travebies

I'm even contemplating now if I should sell my Hermes Evelyne TPM because I haven't grabbed for it in awhile and my Hermes HAC 32 as I find it a bit bulky.
