My MaiTai insert for my Clemence Evelyne 29 arrived yesterday but I noticed it leaves an indent that can be seen on the outside. I ordered the linen since I preferred the taupe color but am thinking now I should have gone with the Liberty of London collection since the material is softer.

Does anyone have both and notice a huge difference?
Also looking for a good insert for my evelyne. Did you end up finding one that fit right and didn’t leave too much indentation?

I'm also on the lookout for a good insert for my Evelyne. Did you manage to find one that fits well without leaving too much indentation?

That would be great, thank you!
@dgreen101 Hope this helps! I’m sorry I can’t speak to Kelly 25 retourne inserts if it causes indents. It sounds like it may based on @EdgyBagsPlz experience ☹️.

My Kelly 28 and 32 are vintage and came with indents lol. The Kelly 28 actually came with a Divide and Conquer insert that was stiffer than MaiTai. I compared them and there is sizable difference. Not sure if the Divide and Conquer resulted in the indent but it was definitely meant more for structure.

awesome, ty. I like how the pillows 'stuff' the body of the bag and not just the bottom. do you keep them in daily?

it was also bothering me for k25 togo retourne and pico 18 maurice so i just stopped using them. for storage i use their tissue paper 'pillow' sent with the insert. need to look for actual pillow LOL
I would advise against using maitai insert for any soft leather bags. I’ve noticed too late but it left dent line on my Kelly 28 right were insert top was. Pillow helped a bit with decreasing it but I can still see it 😭
Never had such issue with 7RP.

Hi ladies! 👋

I’ve been on a little journey trying out different bag inserts recently, and I thought I’d share my thoughts. I know we all have our own preferences depending on the type of bags we use, but hopefully, this helps if you’re considering one of these brands.

1. 7RP
Ah, the famous 7RP. Let’s just say it’s the Birkin of bag inserts—expensive, heavy, and it does take up quite a bit of space inside your bag. BUT (and this is a big but), the Alcantara material is divine. My husband even noticed it because it’s the same material used in luxury car interiors. It feels super premium, and it’s incredibly sturdy.

  • Pros:
    • Alcantara material
    • Holds its shape perfectly
    • Feels durable and high-end
  • Cons:
    • Very pricey
    • Heavy
    • Takes up more space than other inserts
2. Amazo n Random Brand Inserts
These are like fast fashion for your bag—quick, cheap, and gets the job done. I’ve bought a couple from random Amazo n sellers, and they’re fine if you just need something lightweight and budget-friendly. But let’s be real, they feel… basic. No thoughtful design, no premium feel, and some even look a bit like they came straight out of a Temu haul.

  • Pros:
    • Very light
    • Affordable
  • Cons:
    • Feels flimsy and cheap
    • Zero design effort
3. Sorte (my current fave 💖)
I discovered Sorte recently, and I’m obsessed. The design is so thoughtful—it fits beautifully in my bags without adding bulk, and the Naia fibers they use are eco-friendly, which is such a nice bonus. But the real highlight for me? The texture. It feels like silk, so soft and premium. I get this subtle sense of luxury every time I touch it. Some items, especially pre-orders, take a bit longer to arrive.

  • Pros:
    • Gorgeous design
    • reasonable price and still feels premium
    • Eco-conscious (Naia fibers!)
    • Silk-like texture
  • Cons:
    • Pre-order items can take longer to arrive
So, here’s the takeaway:

  • If you want ultimate luxury and don’t mind spending, 7RP is your best bet (just be ready for the extra weight and bulk).
  • I do NOT recommend Amaz on random brands or anything that gives off that Temu vibe—no design, no branding, no thanks. Honestly, if I wanted that, I’d just Temu myself and save the extra cash.
  • And if you want that perfect balance of design, eco-friendliness, and a little luxury, Sorte is the one!
Would love to hear your thoughts or recommendations if you’ve tried others. Sharing is caring! 💕

I’d like to add that I’m using a B25 sellier today and since I use a thin insert in it, there is still also room to slide my phone and/or cardholder all the way down in the insert behind a completely filled-up pouch without pushing outward on the back of the bag. 😊
Which company do you use for the B sellier inserts? I have a B30 and have been looking for one.

In all of my sellier style bags (B25 selliers & mini kellys) I use Samorga’s thinner inserts (the 1.2 mm size).

On the Samorga website, the B30 sellier insert is called (2-33/ HB30-Sellier-U) Bag Organizer for H-Birkin 30 Sellier and is priced at about $25 USD + $30 shipping … but a ton of influencers have discount promo codes you can find all over YouTube video reviews to reduce the price 😊

For my retourne style B25s, I use 7RP inserts.

Hope this helps :flowers:

Hi all! I got an It's All About the Bag pillow after reading here, but I had to pull everything kind of tightly in order to close it all up. It also has this weird denting on the sides, maybe because of how tightly I had to pull the sangles? I have a photo below - does anyone else's look this way? I read on their website it should be closed so the Sangles don't droop but I'm a little concerned that the pillow may be too big.

Hi sbuxaddict,

This is what mine looks like from the side, but this bag is 20 years old (and slouchy) so hopefully someone with a newer bag can add a photo. Maybe @Gin&H or @Prada Prince wouldn't mind if they have time please?

I have emailed you, but as I said, the pillows are all handmade (and hand stuffed) so it is possible they vary slightly. Not so much in dimensions but it could have a little too much stuffing in it.
I'm more than happy to send you another (complimentary) pillow to try as this isn't something anyone has mentioned before so could well be a one off. I'm so sorry if it's not right.

Hi @sbuxaddict! I’ve noticed the sangles on mine used to be quite taut even without any insert or pillow. It has since loosened a bit after a few months. But that may not be the case with your sangles. Just thought I’d mention that since I was surprised how much effort it seemed to take to get my B all closed up.

I did a bit of an experiment and I was able to reproduce the horizontal ripple you’re referring to by pushing down on my B inferiorly (basically making it more slouchy and a wider base)but I was able to manipulated the excess material by smoothing it into the vertical folds and pressing in on both the front and back panel of the B. It could either be the pillow is a bit overstuffed or just how the natural excess material is laying. See if you’re easily able to manipulate the excess to lay vertically and if it stays that way. Perhaps a replacement one might be an option if you continue to notice that horizontal ripple.

Using both hands I was able to manipulate the excess material into the vertical folds and also by pressing the front and back panels. This did not take much manipulation or force. It was a quick maneuver.

Results…

Hope this helps!!
