reviving the old thread: do you use inserts for your K25 retourne? I have the DGAZ and found that having the inserts makes it harder to close and potentially makes the bag bulged out more than without.
I was checking those inserts on Amazon recently but then I noticed they are very square and maybe a slightly trapezoidal shape would be better. I hope someone can recommend a good one, I’m also trying to find perfect fit for a K25 retourne.

Not inserts but I’m very happy with their pillows, for storage.

So, I’ve been meaning to post these for a while and finally got around to taking some pictures. Posting them here in case it helps anyone else!

I really struggled to find a good insert for my 35 Victorias. There aren’t many companies making inserts for the Victoria, and many of the semi-custom options are not the right proportions. I wanted something with a little structure, that would provide soft support without any hard or stiff edges to make marks in the smooshy Clemence leather. The Victoria is meant to be a little slouchy, so I wanted just enough support to help keep the shape, and something that would protect the pale toile lining.

After a LOT of research, and meticulous measuring, I went with the ArcDiary inserts available through Am@zon… the one sized for a “Lindy 34” is a perfect snug fit for a Victoria 35! It was a surprise to me, as most Lindy inserts are designed quite differently, to accommodate the way the Lindy folds in the middle. I would not recommend this insert for a Lindy as it wouldn’t allow it to ‘dumpling’ properly. These are actually stiffer on the long sides, but compress easily enough on the shorter sides, which is perfect for the Victoria. From a sizing perspective, they fit closely with no pressure spots or wasted space, and come up a little higher in the interior, which is a benefit - they protect as much as possible of the lining whilst still giving full use of the zips. You can still access the Victoria’s own internal pockets, which is almost exactly the height of the insert, as you can see in the photos.

I’m sure many forum members are familiar with these, so in terms of quality I'll just say that they’re well made for a relatively inexpensive insert, the stitching is even and neat, and the satin fabric (pretty sure it’s not natural silk) is pleasant to touch and they’re lightweight with soft structure. The inner pockets are convenient, and sized to fit phone, cards, passports etc. I wouldn’t use them for anything heavy, but they're very useful. Overall I'm really happy with them.

Here’s the “blue nuit” option, in what they call silk:

And here’s the difference without the insert, versus with, in terms of support:

Will post a few pics of the other one too.

I was looking at getting bag pillows for my Birkin, Constance and Picotin and it was almost $800 Canadian from Bagsentials! That seems crazy to me. Anyone recommend good pillows to get in Canada that aren’t so outrageously priced? Thanks!

I used DGAZ from Amazon
Same. Have been very happy with pillows from DGAZ.

I got my first K25 retourne earlier this month and have an insert ordered from Mai Tai. I will report back how I feel about it after it arrives.

I was checking those inserts on Amazon recently but then I noticed they are very square and maybe a slightly trapezoidal shape would be better. I hope someone can recommend a good one, I’m also trying to find perfect fit for a K25 retourne.
Let's see how the one I ordered from Mai Tai works out. It should arrive next week.

Not inserts but I’m very happy with their pillows, for storage.
Thanks for the tip!
