Hi all,

It looks like I may be offered a Birkin 30 soon (my SA hinted)! If you can only get one brand of insert, which one would you go with if cost was not a factor?

Hermes Fourbi..either the natural canvas or a silk print
I don't have a Birkin only Kellys & several other H styles & the Fourbi is perfect & leaves no marks
or dents
My SA suggested to have the Fourbi smaller than your bag so that you can put additional items
in your bag & the Fourbi doesn't take up all your bag space

The reasons I always use MaiTai these days:

- the inserts are super soft. I had a D&C insert in my Swift Toolbox and it made indentations, so I am wary of anything too structured.
- I don't need structure in my bags except maybe in Garden Partys; the other bags keep their structure from the way they're stored and from bag pillows.
- I use inserts primarily to protect the bag interior from things like keys scratching it, makeup coming open, possible pen accidents (although I usually keep pens and makeup in cases), etc.
- Related to the above - Because I know it's possible that an insert could get stained or damaged, I'm not willing to spend more than MaiTai prices, like 150€ or so. I already have probably 1500€ in inserts LOL, that's plenty!
- I think the fabrics are super pretty and I like the quilting.

7RP is great though if cost is absolutely not an issue and you want a stiffer insert.

I am not a fan of the Fourbi as it doesn't conform exactly to each bag, and so doesn't serve the purpose of protecting the lining; also I'd rather have a dedicated liner for each bag than spend the same amount on just two Fourbis which, if either gets stained, I'm out a decent sum.

My MaiTai insert for my Clemence Evelyne 29 arrived yesterday but I noticed it leaves an indent that can be seen on the outside. I ordered the linen since I preferred the taupe color but am thinking now I should have gone with the Liberty of London collection since the material is softer.

Does anyone have both and notice a huge difference?

I have both and don’t notice any difference.

I used to be a fan of 7RP inserts, recently my love goes to Maitai. Not saying that 7RP is not high quality, which it is, but Maitai fits better (I know "perfect fit" is 7RP's selling point, but yes, you heard it right). I have a sellier kelly 28 and retourne kelly 28, Maitai inserts fit like a glove, whereas 7RP inserts leave about a half inch space on the side. Maitai also is taller, which protects the inside better.

And of course, the price, 7RP's price is now sky rocketing. As much as I love their material and colors, I started to question: if there is another great option out there, costs a third of the price, ships twice as faster, with the just as good quality, but not Alcantara material, for what reasons should I not choose the other option but stick to 7RP?

For those TPFers who only used 7RP yet have not tried Maitai, I would suggest to give it a try. I only use Samorga inserts on my Chanel bags. Their Hermes bag inserts are very very stiff and I think has the potential to damage the bag.

Beautiful picture...and a stunning bag in the most luscious colors. My most recent bag purchase is a double sens 45 in rose jaipur/rubis clemence. It's the first time I have had RJ and I'm head over heels in love with it. I've never seen such a vibrant chameleon H color before...at times it looks softly matte and in other lighting it is neon. I have a base shaper in my DS and found a great oval-shaped bag organizer for it allows it to stand upright on its own and has turned it into basically the perfect tote.
Can you please share details on your organizer and base shaper? I just purchased a DS and would love to have it stand on it own. I am obsessed with my DS too - perfect size tote and so low key!

It is divide and conquer on etsy! The large wide oval is a perfect fit for the DS45! :)

Thank you!! Any experience with this fitting a Birkin Sellier 30? I'd hate to spend that much and find out it doesn't fit correctly.

I only buy from 7RP for Evelynes. I think when it comes to other bags MaiTai inserts are actually better than 7RP.
But many brands make square inserts for the rounded Evelyne or use very stiff materials that leave dents on your Evelyne.
Do you use a 7RP for the mini Evelyne as well? So far MaiTai has been fine for my PM but I was considering 7RP for my TPM (maybe the PM in the future). Right now I am using my LV mini pochette as a catch all but was thinking I may get more use out of the 7RP.
