They have name tags =) Call corporate office to complain. I do that for everything

no they don't... do they? i don't think they do. all they (and most any high(er) end boutique/brand/store) only wear the company name. like me at work, we all have the same "name": Restoration Hardware. haha. And I think at LV, everyone's name is the LV logo.

jinhee - i know what you mean! I live in the Tysons area as well, and walked in there with my friend a couple of days ago. The SA greeted us, and that was it. Granted, they only had two people working there, but, neither one was overly busy. I didn't have the time to go over to NM, but, I don't really like them there either. -shrug- I guess I just don't have good luck w/ SA's b/c even after I bought a bunch of stuff at Tiffanys, my SA lied to me! Oh well, I keep going back, there is no where else to go around here for designer stuff lol

I'm So Sorry That Happened, It's Wrong & Just Plain Uncalled For. I'm Glad You Ended Up @ Neimans & Got The Service (& Great Items!) ~ You Deserve. I Hope This Doesn't Make You Think Less Of The Louis Vuitton Products. Also, I Hope Your Mom Loves Her Gifts ~ Very Sweet Daughters!!!!!!

You did the right thing by leaving. Commission or not, they should have done their JOB. You should'nt have to jump thru hoops to get someone's attention or ask for help to spend your money in their store. I'm quite sure you know the difference between SAs that are very busy with other customers and your just being plain ignored. It's not about their "reading your mind", it's about being respected as a customer and being assisted - whether you were there to spend money or just browse and ask questions, which is ALSO called shopping.

I'm glad you went to Tysons II and found what you were looking for. I hope your mom enjoys her new LV items!

I totally agree.

Really? At my store they have name tags =) If they don't I always ask for their card or name. I have a bunch of those saved up hahaha.

I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience there. They've never been nothing but attentive to me, but then I'm the pushy type and I don't wait for somebody to notice that I'm there. LOL

One SA there was even nice enough to give me a tiny sleeper bag for my Epi wallet when I told her that the people at NM had forgotten to do so when I bought it there the week before. Sure, it's just a cheap little piece of sewn cloth, but some places act like they are made of gold!

SA's need to learn that you can't judge someone by their age, what their wearing etc. I was in LV a few mths ago and there were some people in there who if one was judging them on appearance alone, looked as if they couldn't afford high end items. They ended up buying a few things in there. Moral of the story - Don't judge a book by its cover. ;)

I hate when people say "They dont work on commission" like its an excuse for bad service. Ultimately its the managers fault. The staff should be trained to service the customers and that falls upon management. SAs are purely a reflection of upper management. Go to LouisVuitton.com and in detail name the store and your experience. I have done that before and have actually gotten an email back and a call from the store manager.
I am glad you did get what you wanted for your mom!

agh- so sorry to hear that! I hate snobby Sa's! hehe you could pull a Pretty Woman, walk in with your bag and say "big mistake. HUGE!"

Haha, I always think about Pretty Woman in situations like that.

Thats terrible they were so rude to you and your sister! UGH, just plain ignorance on their part. I agree with serendipity, complain to the manager (and if you saw their name tags, be sure to say exactly who!).

A-freakin'-men. Heck, I used to work at a grocery store (nothing "high end" about that) and I guarantee if a cashier, who also doesnt work on commission, was a ***** to you you'd complain ASAP, and they would most definitely get their a** chewed out by their managers. They may not care about getting a sale, but maybe theyd care just a little bit more if it meant possibly losing their job.
