2. the bridge is slanted to the left. after the sugery, the middle line of the bottom and upper is not in sync
3. the nose bridge isn't raise at all

Hi,

I am not expert but..

1. the alar is huge, the nose tip over protruded and bulbous

I don't think your alar is huge. But your alar is longer comparing to your columella. -> i think you may need "alar reduction or nasal septum extension".

And from your side view, your nose tip looks longer. And your angle from nose tip to upper lip is narrow. 90 ~ 100 degree is an ideal angle. i think you may need "Tip plasty with considering your lip protrusion".

2. the bridge is slanted to the left. after the sugery, the middle line of the bottom and upper is not in sync
-> Yes, implant moved to the left.
-> You may need "silicone removal".
-> I don't recommend silicone implant.
-> You can consider "rib cartilage or dermis or D.C.F. etc".

3. the nose bridge isn't raise at all
-> Need to compare with your original nose.

4. difficulty in breathing when sleeping as one side of the nose becomes block.
-> guess silicone movement narrowed one side of nose hole.
-> I recommend you find E.N.T surgeon, and check your breathing problem.

I am not an expert, but you can consider my opinion.

Hope you find the best surgeon.

Don't worry, your case is not that serious.

however i have some concern about rib cartiliges and dcf dermis. i browsed through the website that these cartiliages will shrink over the years. is this true?

Yes, you said right. rib cartilage has "Shrinking or Warping problem"

There is one thing that i know,

If harvest rib cartilage, the shape is like as below, (got this photo from google image)

Middle - core part
Outside - surrounding part

ijps_2014_47_1_25_129620_f10-1.jpg

as above photo, one solution is to attaching the surrounding part to core part.

This is just one case of the solution that i know.

I think it is better you ask "the solution" to rhinoplasty experts who use rib cartilage.

Each experts would have their own solution.

I would assume the promotional models would have been operated on my one of the head doctors (probably dr park)

now you have put at point across, are most big korea hospital will only do their job properly with a selected group of people or promotional models?

i was filled with joy when i came to korea to hv a new look that put confidences in myself, having been called an ugly duckling since young.

Now in my case,

1. Dr Jo (cho) was recommended by Dr Park.
according to the consulatant the Dr has left
2. This surgery is done by Dream medical group and Dr Jo represented Dream.
3. After the surgery, i spoke to both Dream Park and Vincent about the slanted bridge but they assured it is okay and told me to wait to stabalize.
Now it is evidently, 5 years, the slant it NOT OK.
Worst, i have problem of block nose because of the slanted implant and indeed the nose doesn't look at all appealing. Unless any readers will agree that this nose is appealing and they will want to have such nose after so much of effort finding a trusty specialist.

Have i paid the expenditure for dream hospital to be a guinea pig to train his recommended doctor?

One may say that it is under my consent that i allowed the doctor to operate on me but under such plan circumstances of a year of research, leaves taken from job ( a month ), cost of staying in korea and discussions with dream consultant and Drs, and this is the resullt?

To be honest i have faith in dream hospital and Dr Park. I did not reveal the full name of Dr Jo, because i understand that to become a doctor and to be a specialist will take years of practises and sacrifices.
In addition, i do hv concern on how the way the hospital runs like a manufacturing hospital. how can one dr practise with full details and attentiveness?

If any of Dream medical group Dr, promoters, consultants happened to read this post, please let Dr Park know that such incidents are taking place.

i am indeeed now a victim of a botched nose by dream clinic. How should i deal with this? I now have to pick up the messes caused by Dream and my consent of allowing the dr to operate on me.

I do have to thank dream consultants for replying to my recent messages despite their correspondent with aspirant of many countries as well as their aftecare during my trip.

Dream after care is good, they had their driver drove me back to the place i stayed and they gave me good laser aftercare treatments.

But when dream consulatnt quoted me to pay the amount of revision that is 50% of the original rhinoplasty, i queried myself whether it is justifiable to do so.

1/My concern, will the series of events leading to malpractice occur again?
2/Can the result last more than 5 years and above? after i had posted my concern in this forum, i receive pms as well as well wishes. Thanks peeps.
I also received pm by a rhinoplasty patient of Dr Park, who had hers done with Dr Park. Howeve, the results are not lasting. Years after the surgery, the nose now is upturned.
3/Will i get to speak directly with doctor and get away from the barrier of consultant in order to avoud miscommunication
will there be another last mins discussion with dream's doctor before surgeryy

4/the consutlant quoted 50% amount of original price of my rhinoplasty for revision.
i have suffered a huge amount of damages from my side, inlcuding my reputation has been smeared at work for taking such long leaves for plastic surgery, the expenses spent during my suergry trip, the bills of the damages: now involving ENT - Ear nose Throat hospital bills as well as i will need to prepare another hefty amount for revision. i want to ask the consultant or the readers i this forum, is it justifiable to pay 50% for the revision and will you do it?

Note that, i did not and i doubt i can make any compensation claims to Dream because of the clause sign in the form before the surgery.

i posted this to find a solution and to address my concern.

i hope Dr Park will get to read this post of mine. Perhaps it is time to think of restructuring the way the hospital works.

You have consultants and doctors who work very hard and good aftercare. But from the perspective of a patient, the ultimate reason is to acheive what he/she wants, in my case, a functional and a pleasant looking nose, i don't require much fancy stuff and that is what i paid for and why i came to dream. My experienecs tell me that it is better to have more direct communication with the doctor, and definitley to hire doctor who has both functional knowledge and asthethc acumen
Also perhaps you can speak and talk to Dr Vincent of sg dream to have better collabaration when comes to follow-up. if Both dream works under the same umbrella, why are follow-ups chargeable from 100 to 200 per session? and to redo the rhino in sg dream?
it only potrays that both dream are working separately. so why do you have a medical group? it easily misleads a patience to make a desireable decision. Both dr could have told me that both dream clinic operates seprately, and that i have to fly to korea for follow-ups or to tell me that at that point of time there are no specialist who can perform good open-rhinoplasty.

From, Your foreign patient who flew all the way to Korea, who once trusted in you and dream medical group

I think if you decide to have your revision with dream then make sure it is done by dr park as he is the only dr who I've seen lots of positive things about from dream. If not then there are lots of reputable doctors for a revision in South Korea and Singapore.

omg... I'm so sorry dear... that you had such bad experience, please keep undated if you gonna revise it or not... we gain good experience but at high cost, hope girls would be aware of that place now
