After fawning over it online for what feels like months I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the Festival des Amazones Encadré CSGM marine/orange/rouge . H243606Sv04
It does tie spectacular, but I am unsure how to include it in my wardrobe. Somehow there are too many primary colors, the red is too red, the yellow too bright. What else to combine with it other than navy?
Should it stay or should it go back?

LOVE the design and the way it ties

But.... in this colourway I suspect it will only work well with navy or white/offwhite :hrmm:.

With navy clothes, bag & shoes matching vibrant colours in the scarf, it will be absolutely stunning :girlsigh:

Oh my, this is gorgeous! It certainly was born to be worn with navy. Here are some other ideas: 1) with toned-down versions of the border colors. How about a burgundy sweater? Or a forest green? 2) with a neutral top (gray? creme?), and dark wash jeans to echo the navy. 3) with denim shirt, absolutely! Perhaps with colored jeans in one of the border colors, if you are feeling bold. Or maybe with soft white pants or jeans if you tie it in a way that highlights the white bits in the border.

I say it stays, it looks spectacular and s ties in so many different ways!

OMG! It's spectacular! I am voting "to stay". This shawl has this timeless vibe. It would work for so many occasions, dressed down or dressed up, it will work every time!

OMG this is spectacular. I didn't see it coming (were there pix here earlier?). At first I thought you were wearing it with black, which seems fine, now I see it's navy. IDK! This is most tempting piece I've seen in ages. Interested to read what others think. but WOW
Beautiful piece! And it definitely ties beautifully. Even though it's navy (I thought black until I zoomed in), I think it would work really well with navy, black but also with denim or a white shirt (for contrast). It's hard to say whether it should stay or go. I would say stay but if you don't wear it or it's not "you" then it doesn't matter how nice a piece is, it won't be reached for and worn, and that's ultimately a pity. I've learned this the hard way with enough gorgeous pieces languishing in my closet. But "sleep on it" and see how you feel. If it speaks to you, you'll know.
I'll just echo what @julian.f has said to agree this monochromatic outfit looks smashing - you look chic and self-assured (and if you don't feel that way, your pictures sure fool me!). I don't see the red or yellow being "too" anything, but I suspect that's because the navy background of the shawl blending into the rest of the outfit has given those colors ample visual space, if that makes sense. It's a great look, but if it isn't your personal style, then this piece will be a difficult addition to your wardrobe no matter what others say.

Thank you all for your nice words and thoughtful input. I played around a bit more with it last night. There is enough navy in my wardrobe to justify keeping it. combined with a navy A-line dress and orange shoes: yep, works well. Now I have an excuse to get matching red shoes (I only have cherry and burgundy so far). It's a scarfies life: Buying accessories for our accessories...
I will have to play around a bit more, if it will work with more color, what handbags go with it etc.
It certainly is a power scarf ("That could run the meeting by itself") with the ultimate contrast hem, but can also be toned down. I actually like the look with just a hint of the border the most.

Here are some mod shots of my two new scarves.
As the new season seems to be not so appealing to me, I purchased "old season" last Monday when finally the boutique was open again after 3 months.

Love all your pictures. You are simply darling.

Looks like there are more than 1 CW for the Festival des Amazones Encadre shawl 140. Previously we only saw one CW, with deep blue (Marine) as its main color in the middle(CW 04), but now there's a CW 03 on the US website, with Rouge being its main color. I tried to find the previous post for CW 04 (I'm pretty sure I have seen it in this thread) but couldn't find it, maybe it got deleted for some reason? Anyways, here it is...

...Why has the entire conversation re Festival des Amazones Encadre been moved here...?
Wasn’t it established quite early on that it is SS 2021? :confused1:
Would there really be 4-5 previously unseen cws surfacing online now if it was in fact from AW 2020...?

*Edit* Also - the models weren’t styled wearing white shirts AW 2020, like the model is wearing for cw 04, so...maybe the posts should be moved back?:biggrin:
