Here are some mod shots of my two new scarves.
As the new season seems to be not so appealing to me, I purchased "old season" last Monday when finally the boutique was open again after 3 months.

Wow, you can really pull off those 140 silks! I feel sort of overwhelmed by the size, but you're encouraging me to rethink them.

After fawning over it online for what feels like months I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the Festival des Amazones Encadré CSGM marine/orange/rouge . H243606Sv04
It does tie spectacular, but I am unsure how to include it in my wardrobe. Somehow there are too many primary colors, the red is too red, the yellow too bright. What else to combine with it other than navy?
Should it stay or should it go back?

Beautiful piece! And it definitely ties beautifully. Even though it's navy (I thought black until I zoomed in), I think it would work really well with navy, black but also with denim or a white shirt (for contrast). It's hard to say whether it should stay or go. I would say stay but if you don't wear it or it's not "you" then it doesn't matter how nice a piece is, it won't be reached for and worn, and that's ultimately a pity. I've learned this the hard way with enough gorgeous pieces languishing in my closet. But "sleep on it" and see how you feel. If it speaks to you, you'll know.

I'll just echo what @julian.f has said to agree this monochromatic outfit looks smashing - you look chic and self-assured (and if you don't feel that way, your pictures sure fool me!). I don't see the red or yellow being "too" anything, but I suspect that's because the navy background of the shawl blending into the rest of the outfit has given those colors ample visual space, if that makes sense. It's a great look, but if it isn't your personal style, then this piece will be a difficult addition to your wardrobe no matter what others say.
