I think you have a good shot. I have seen some people on this forum model some scarves that never made it to the website (different colors of exposition universelle), and they live in the us. Similarly, I reserved the rainbow colorway of the double sided Della cav through a boutique. So far it isn’t on the website.

I think the burgundy and white border clashes with the black and fails to make the colors pop. But if you love it, that’s all that matters! Maybe there is another color that would work? Although for some reason they all seem a bit muddled from the photos on the site.

Hello everyone, I need some help! I've fallen hard in love with the Hermes Galaxy 100 CSGM, especially CW09 (turquoise/rouge/marine) after seeing @ajaxbreaker 's modshot of it.

Unfortunately my country ONLY has CW 02 (gris/gris anthracite/orange) available. I tried it on today in store (see attached), and well, it's quite nice and I'm sure I could make it work, but it doesn't quite make my heart sing as much as CW 09, though this is possibly also because my outfit today didn't really match it.

My SA very kindly offered to do a global search for CW 09 for me, but she did state clearly that it requires a deposit AND I must be absolutely sure that I'll purchase it if they manage to find it (which makes absolute sense of course, otherwise I'll be wasting everyone's time).

Now I'm in a huge dilemma because:
1) I've only ever seen that one picture of CW 09
2) Stock levels for CW 02 are very low as well, so I might end up with nothing if CW 02 sells out while they are waiting for the global search results and CW 09 cannot be acquired
3) My friend has also mentioned that she feels my Parures de Samourais 90cm silk (CW 05 ebene/bleu/orange) looks very close to the picture of the "turquoise" Galaxy that I showed her.

May I know if anyone has more pictures of the turquoise Galaxy (I'm assuming this is CW 09)? Especially photos taken in natural daylight?
I don't like it at all from what it looks on the website, but I understand it looks way less turquoise in real life, which is why I'm leaning towards it. (Paging @shrpthorn particularly, I hope you don't mind me reaching out to you).

And what does everyone else think? Do I risk doing a global search? I really love the design, so I think I might be upset with myself if I end up not getting any CW.

Also, I've been lurking for forever on this forum, but I actually already know some of you on IG... My IG name is "permanentlyoverdressed" ;) I'll try to be more active here from now on!

Anyone else with this CW for whom it did or didn't work? I know some of you lovely ladies ordered it so wondering if others experienced the same or are thrilled with their silken beauty...

I try an other cw (rose indien/vert/rose pâle) and dislike the shiny aspect of the silk. And since the border is rather large, the scarf looks more green then pink which was unexpected for me.

Perhaps try it with blouses that match the other colours in the scarf to see how each coloured blouse picks out different elements of the pattern? (Other than black, I mean.)

I can't help with any more pictures unfortunately. However, does Hermes have online shopping in your country? Perhaps you could order the CW2 online - then you have 30 days to return it and in those 30 days your SA should be able to have the CW9 transferred in. If CW9 comes and you want to keep it, you can just return the CW2 bought online. Another option is that you buy the CW9 but then if it doesn't make your heart sing you can always exchange it for something else...

I will try but can't promise. It is cold (<< 0 deg ) & completely overcast here with heavy snowfall, so obviously I'm reluctant to go outside to take photos. I'm also renovating my top floor so house is a terrible mess with drywall dust everywhere and everything mashed into the remaining unaltered rooms.
As I said in response to ajaxbreaker's original post - the colours in her photo are TTL. My 2nd choice was CW 02 (gris/gris anthracite/orange) & I tried this one on when I tried on CW 09. DH actually preferred CW 02 (it's a "share" scarf). I have Parures de Samourais 90cm silk (CW 05 ebene/bleu/orange) and IMO I don't think it looks at all like the Hermes Galaxy in CW 02 or CW09. The colours on the Men's scarfs are always much more muted than on the women's silk.
I think @ajaxbreaker 's strategy/advice is good. In my country it usually takes 4 -6 weeks to get the results of a world wide search and we have to pay 100% of the cost + GST upfront to do the search. The result is that I have "bought" the scarf, regardless of whether it suits or not. Buying it on line gives you a month leeway to change your mind and still get a full refund, or avoid "missing out".
