I also purchased the Jardin de Soie shawl in pink. I’m interested to see the black in person, but this was a no-brainer for me - goes with everything.

This will be hard to resist, it reminds me of a medieval tapestry! Definitely my favorite colorway of this design. I’m hoping that the gavroche is released soon, or else that shawl is coming home with me!

Love this design , your blue Jardin de Soie is beautiful. Could you post pics of your pink cw also?

I have the pink too! (Just hadn't posted it yet) Its a gorgeous scarf. This design is the surprise favorite for me of the season. I found that I really appreciated the design after seeing it person. The detail is incredible, with all sorts of animals making up the design. Congrats on all of your beauties!

The funny thing is that I love this shawl, but while I appreciate the design it isn’t amazing to me as much as useful. It’s cute and clever but to me it’s also a cross between Chasse en Inde and Pique Fleuri or Chemins de Garrigue. I bought it because this folds great and the colorway is perfect for me, AND it has that elusive “I won’t get bored with this design“ quality - which isn’t always easy for me to find in a shawl.

i dont know if if I have a particular preference for graphic or large or intricate - my favote designs over the past few seasons have been Legende de Foret, Cosmographia, Mountain Zebra, Les Artisans, and the reissued Kachinas wash. longtime favorites are Lalbhai and samourais. I know I don’t like big geometric (ta ta, Nathalie Pasqier) or odd layouts (Zouaves et Dragons). I think the most important things to me are “special” details (the butterfly front and center on Foret, the low key 24 Faubourg on Les Artisans) and stunning and useful color arrangements that you can see when it’s folded.
I have three shawls: Robe du Soir, Appaloosa des Steppes, and an Eperon d'Or Bandana. All strike me as pretty graphic but with an underlying classic element: the horse and Hermes orange in the Robe du Soir; the animal print/Moroccan imagery in the Appaloosa; and the classic Americana of a bandana. That's why I love the imagery in the Jardin de Soie, despite its intricacy. And you can't underestimate "no-brainer" and "goes with everything."

Now, off to research all the other scarves you mentioned ... I do find I can go a little more intricate in the smaller format of a 90.

Hey everyone, checking in! This season I really fell hard for Legende de la Foret and wound up with three colorways - black, white and pink. I love the gold/blue and the red/white but they didn’t work on me. I have to agree with @tuffysfamily that it’s my favorite design of the season. I did see someone mention that they weren’t sure if it was “special enough” but it’s really a genius design that’s genuinely pretty and the colorways are VERY wearable...for me, there are a number of designs where none of the colorways work for me (im looking at you, Exposition Universelle). I also love the Lions in the corners.

by the way, Ive been asked a few times which colorway is my favorite and I have to say it’s the white. The black is the most versatile, but the white is my favorite of the three.

Adding just a few of the black and white, I know they’ve been posted before.

fabulous choices! Robe du Soir is one of my favorite designs. Yes this is really versatile and you dont have any other shelves with intrigue designs so you absolutely should try it! The other designs I mentioned are older but you can find them on eBay. Pique Fleuri was done in both a shawl and 90 cm

Hi Magjes,
THANK YOU.

  For me, I think CW 16 is gorgeous and you tied this scarf beautifully. Like Julide, I was concern with the amount of 'yellow' for this particular color way. Now, I just have to decide if I need ONE more 90s or wait for the cashmere to trickle in .. hmmm.

So....do any of you ladies ever buy the same CW in a scarf and a CSGM?
Yes, I have been doing it - Marwari, Coupons Indiens, most recently the Plumes (white/multi). It allows me to wear my favourite designs in most "me" cw throughout the year. I do not wear them together, but it is also fun to pair them like that, there are pictures somewhere on PF of members wearing such pairings... I cannot be counted on saying "no" to scarves, I am afraid

I went to store today just checking the cw17 of La Legende du Cheval a Plumes cos not seeing any here. Really like the cw IRL and the border is pale blue/grayish.

Thank you for sharing!! Haven't seen that much of this cw, and surprised by how nicely the pink pops against the blue/yellow.

I'm excited for my store appointment later this week to see which cw they still have in stock for La Légende.

There’s no pink in this cw17, only blue/yellow/dark gold/light beige white. My local store only got this and cw19 and I wasn’t that bother as I’ve already decided on cw17 after checking the rest of others cw here. Really enjoyed the visit and the sa was very friendly and helpful. I left the store with my scarf and lots of samples of lipstick and perfume as well.
