I'm a newbie, so super doubtful of my ability to spot the fake but I did! I doubt if I could spot it by itself, but side-by-side, my tell was the bad stitching. I haven't seen enough Balenciaga logos to know what's real (i'm a graphic designer, so once i've identified the font, it'd be a no-brainer), but wow, it's a good thing they continue to make mistakes, like a period btwn the Balenciaga and Paris???

But honestly, who could tell?

When you're buying on ebay or bonanzle, the best deals may geniuine but also from people with bad cameras and worse photography skills who are just selling from their personal collection. so it's a shame that the fakes are getting so good that the genuine ones are easily mistaken for the fakes (or is it vice versa?)

Let's compare these two Gold Giant Hobo bags. One is a counterfeit and the other an authentic Balenciaga. They both appear to have the same general shape and proportions, but as we know, the little details make all the difference in authentication.

Hadnt a clue until the last picture where I could see the buckles. They just looked cheap I suppose...

My ability at spotting fakes isnt great, the only fakes I can spot are the really easy Chloe Paddingtons
