Yes, I know Etinceler, but It was about Prada. I asked in the Prada thread also, which other service you usually use.
What about LV good authenticator?

Thank you for the response.
Hi. I just replied to you at the prada forum. Try to get in touch with them through facebook, during their business hours. It is not the best business model but worked for me. I just requested another Prada authentication. Let't see how long it will take. And a friend got 3 replies this week without having to contact them through FB. Hope it helps.

Sharing my most recent experience authenticating a Celine bag I purchased - I would definitely recommend sending them a facebook chat message for the quickest reply. A day after sending my email, I sent a fb message asking if they received my email and how long it would take to hear back. I got an automated message because it was outside the business hours but someone replied right away the next morning. They needed an additional picture but the camera the seller was using wasn't high quality - so they tentatively said it was okay given the other details they saw and offered to make a final decision if I bought it and sent the picture needed (zipper). I didn't have to pay twice. Within 24hrs of sending the additional picture, I got both a fb message with the formal evaluation certificate and email (authentic!). Whoever manages the fb messages is SUPER responsive!

Hi All,

I'm having a bad experience as well. I paid for the authentication of an 18 series Chanel... they were quick to respond when I asked about how to pay, but it's been 7 days since I've sent the pics and no word from them - I've left a voicemail, followed up on email, and even used their website contact page. I just left them an FB message. I hope that works. Do any of you know of a reputable Chanel authenticator for 15 series and above? Etinceler is pretty reliable but I understand they do not authenticate anything above a 15 series anymore...

Thanks, ladies!

I just wanted to add to this thread... I recently purchased a Louis Vuitton Icare on eBay from a small seller with good ratings. The bag was in excellent condition and came with the receipt, box, bag, etc. I was pretty sure based on looking at it myself that it was authentic, but given that it's only my second piece of luggage, I wanted to be sure. I contacted Authenticate4U on Facebook yesterday afternoon and had an answer by this morning (it's authentic!). It was very easy, very quick, and their communication was great!

Just sharing my second experience with authenticate4u. Which i was happy about until it came to the formal evaluation.

I previously bought a second hand bag earlier this year and had no problems with them. However the second time i have sent for authentication has been poor. Responses were quick and they were able to assess my item which i appreciate. However I was told on the 4th of September my bag was authentic and i would get my evaluation soon it is now the 18th of september 2 weeks later and i have still to receive my formal evaluation. Telling me my item is authentic is one thing but having paperwork to back this up is just as important.

Last monday i sent them a message asking where the evaluation was and was ignored, i have sent another message today.

This isn't an issue for me however if i was fighting a paypal or ebay case to prove an item wasnt or was authenticate this would be an issue. As there are time limits for cases. I understand they are busy, but to answer all my question prior and then go quite when i ask for the formal evaluation is not on.

Can anyone recommend any reasonable priced authentication services? :)

I'll give my experience too. About 2 weeks ago, I sent pictures of 3 items (3 different brands so 3 different authenticators) to A4U for authentication.

I got acknowledgement quickly and 2 of the findings within a day or two. I was told that the third item was being done by an authenticator in Italy and that person tended to be slower than others.

But within another 2 days, I got a response that the 3rd was authentic and certificates would be sent.

The email certs came 3 days later.
