Authenticate4U.com experiences?

Sorry to hear about Members trying to get a paid Authentication - BUT it is the Holiday season? Some paid third parties will be CLOSED over Christmas & New year. Just wait UNTIL after the New year. I personally don't trust anyone else. I have seen mistake after mistake with other paid services. And some NEW Sites that join the TPF just to try & promote their own site & are sly & underhanded? These paid services I would not go anywhere NEAR them nor would I recommend them! EVER? :frown: If Sly & Unhanded here? What does that tell you about their certain paid service? Just my personal 2 cents! :hrmm:

Just wanted to share my latest experience with authenticate4you.com. I've used them multiple times about 2 years ago and never had a problem. Then I got off the ebay wagon to just bought brand new. Lately I got back on buying preowned again and needed them to authenticate an LV duffle bag. I emailed them the pictures and paid them through PayPal about 4 weeks ago, as of today not a single beep from them... I haven't tried their FB yet, because my case was resolved in my favor. But I don't think I would use them again. Ever.

One member posted she is waiting for a response since about 4 weeks ago..it wasn't the holiday then!
While it is the holiday season & if A4U was closing from Christmas to New Year's, wouldn't
it be considerate to post that on your Facebook page so clients would know this, if that is the case?
Many are frustrated by lack of communication &just spend too much time waiting for a timely response
that never seems to come...many posts on this thread to back this up sadly speaking

It doesn't seem quite right to make vague accusations like this. I have no idea to which services you are referring, but this thread is about a4u and their issues have spanned a period much longer than the holiday season.

Better to cross your fingers than to hold your breath for a response after waiting 11 days... LOL
In all seriousness, do hope that you get a response
Let us know if you don't mind.
Well, i'm hoping there's light at the end of tunnel...i guess i can always try carol diva...i'm going to wait until Tues then i'm calling paypal!

I understand some Members have been waiting for a while & I completely agree about nothing been posted. A4U should have posted something about being closed over the holidays (that's just assuming they are?), here's hoping they will reply to Members who have paid. And / Or refund Members so they can move on. But I am also seeing posts on their FB page about really bad pictures? Which delays the reply? Again just going from their FB page, as I am not on FB I can only see certain things.

From their FB page: (please note I just copied & pasted)

PLEASE, PLEASE lets get serious. Clients MUST realise that photos are KEY to our authentication process. We are receiving some extremely poor quality photos, which then mean that we have to request more photos, which in turn means that your authentication is delayed. Those doing this then seem to feel the need to complain that we are slow! Excuse me? So the question is - would you prefer that we just said 'ok we can't really see the item clearly, the details are blurred, but we'll tell you its ok?' IF thats what you prefer, then we would suggest that you look elsewhere. We will NEVER authenticate any item without a FULL set of quality photos - its not rocket science - its being prudent and its being correct. Above all else, we value you as clients, and as such are here to ensure that we keep both YOU and your hard earned cash safe'.

Ive used A4U a couple of times and what I've found is that you pay on website and then contact them via PM on their website. I had a hassle getting a Chanel approved only due to the photos not being clear enough but A4U kept me informed and once they were happy with photos it only took approx 24h to get the confirmation. I know the owner has had some personal illness in the family and has been quite honest about that in a couple of FB forums. They are the authentification firm I would always turn to. I understand the frustration of not getting a reply going only via website but remember we are all people. I would recommend send a PM via FB with your pics and PayPal payment number.

Pleeeease... every time there are complaints about A4u the response is always the same. A group of people come forward to defend A4u with excuses such as server trouble or personal issues or illness and with criticism of other authentication services. Frankly the post on A4U's Facebook page is one more example of them not taking responsibility for their poor service and not acting professionally. I have used several services. If the photos are not adequate the other services let you know promptly and ask for additional photos. They don't attack their customers on social media. I have no stake in this fight but I follow this thread because I was attacked for describing my experience with them when I fell victim to them and I hate to see it happen to others. There are other services that behave more professionally and are capable of doing the job. I also think that anyone supporting A4u should disclose any conflicts of interest they have before doing so. I have none. I

I agree.
I never get a response via email anymore (I used to last year though), but I do get a response via the FB messenger/PM. I have used a4u ~10 times and I find them reliable.
If you buy an item via PayPal you have enough time to wait a couple of weeks to hear back from a4u if needed.
I always pay first via PP, then send a FB messenger message with my PayPal name and the item with pictures. Sometimes I need to send a reminder via messenger, but I have never needed more than one reminder message to get the response. Yes, it may be slightly more hassle than other services, but I feel they are reliable. I have received incorrect authentication in the past from another service (one of the "original" well-known services), so I think it is worth the extra effort. Also, not many companies offer such a wide range of brand authentications. I would use the specialist authentication companies for Chanel or Hermes though.

PbP I am so sorry you had such a bad experience! I have not found another reliable company who can authenticate fine jewelry. Do you know of one by any chance?

Hi Nicole, no. I don't. I have found authentication for Chanel Hermes and LV. I know from your other posts that you are a very reasonable person. If you found a way to work with A4U that's great. I think it's fine to use them. No one has questioned their accuracy, simply their professionalism and lack of communication. I had a weird experience trying to buy fine jewelry (VCA) recently and someone gave me great advice that spared me a lot of trouble. Feel free to pm me.

No, it is not fair to be attacked for sharing your experiences.

This is my first time using A4U and my first time posting on this thread and I was attacked, too.
