I’ll certainly defer to them but I hope they didn’t make the call on the missing stamp. If Hermes can make a miss, so can Chanel.
Totally agree. I'm happy to post the bulleted points here along with the certificate; but I know historically we were discouraged from posting "why" things were deemed fake here so I don't want to post anything I'm not supposed to (I'm also happy to DM you). If the only issue had been the missing stamp I would have kept them, but after reading their cert, I am ultimately confident in their assessment :)

I agree that info should not be posted. I don’t look at fonts as I don’t know them well enough. My background is construction and I did think they were well made. Glad you didn’t get stuck with them.

It’s posted and acknowledged with the moderators and creators of this entire blog with any authentications that specifics between authentic and knock offs not be discussed. Handing counterfeiters specific information for any brand of anything gives them more tools to make a better counterfeit product. It’s been discussed many times that counterfeiters troll these threads, so it is not just here with shoe authentications.

Thank you for your input about the Hangisi. The seller profile turned out really dodgy so I reported it.

I also found this Chanel Ballet Flat on a Japanese website. I haven't bought it yet, but the price is really great. Is it possible to tell from these photos whether it is authentic? The seller has 1000 of positive reviews and I'm not sure whether Japan has counterfeit Chanel shoes lying around though.

The seller says they replaced the heels and resoled. They also say thee heel piping and the inside of the heel have been reinforced and repaired with leather. The toe, heel and sides have been reinforced too.

If you need additional photos, I will try to ask the seller.

Another highly counterfeited shoe. There have been so many after market alterations that it’s impossible for me to see original detailing. Maybe Shuze can weigh in, I honestly don’t know what I’m looking at.

How about this pair of Chanel ballet flat? Is it authentic? This one doesn't seem to be altered. The seller says they bought it at Saks in NY.
I found this on a Japanese website so can't post links because of crazy defamation laws here. The seller has many good reviews. But if you need any more photos, I'll try to ask the seller.

Given the photos shown, they appear to be authentic. Let’s let Shuze weigh in as well.

Hi all! Would be very grateful if someone could help authenticate these Gucci horsebit slingbacks I purchased from ebay (can still return for 30 days - wanted to examine in person). I also got these for an additional 20% off listed price so better safe than sorry.

The explanation for the slashed logo is that they were purchased from a wholesaler who got from a dept store and they do that in order to prevent ppl from returning for full price.

Greatly appreciate any and all help, LOVE this forum.

Authentic IMO

Is this Chanel ballet flat authentic? The seller says their camera is autoadjusting the color and the color of the last pic is most true to life. I think they put rubber on the soles.

I found it on a Japanese website so I would prefer not to post links because of strange defamation laws here.
