I bought a Tom Ford Jennifer bag on eBay and received the item yesterday, I am absolutely sure it is a fake after 2 days of looking at pictures of the real bag. I hope somebody can help me. I will try to post pictures. Thanks

Hi everyone. I am new to Tom Ford. General question. I bought a pair from a seller and they say Marcolin on the bag.
If I call Marcolin to authenticate, are they truly the real deal?

Hello I am new tot his forum, I doubt I will ever talk about purses, but iv read rules and terms for this forums. This topic is on "authenticate my tom fords" so here goes.

I purchased this from eBay two days ago and has arrived to my place just now.

I felt fishy that not all the paperwork came in, but again on eBay site for sunglassesexpo

States that "not all paperwork will come"
Okay sure.

But now comes into specific things such as
1) seriel number was NOWHERE to be found on glasses nor box,(no video on box take my word on it)
2) tomford logo is on lower left side of lens and is printed not etched.
3) tomford logo on temple is etched but it feels like plastic and NOT metal.
4)asyou could see from. Video the glasses on the hinges specifically (not frame because my hands put oil on it) are dirty as heck.
5) the tom ford style the line connecting the hindge to glass frame is not perfectly aligned pause video and you will see what I mean.


I will take pictures and more videos on anything specific you would like me todo .

At this point i believe they are fake.

Currently I am asking this community to help investigates with facts not just hintches. I don't care if seller has 30k feedback because >1% negative feeedback states they are fake glasses. But none state facts why while I am.

Also another red flag is that I have been digging around the forums and see "members" with less than 10 posts deffending the seller then when asked for proof on why they support sunglasses expo they never respond. POOF.

I will have my friend who has tomford glasses bring it to my house and compare pictures soon.
I will also visit my other friend who works at saks fifth in 5ave NY later this week and check with inventory.

I will be fully prepared with eBay with facts and not subjective opinions if these are a fake, because I am very against things like this happening on my fav site to shop for stuff:p eBay :laugh:

1. You can watch tutorials on YouTube to authenticate. I watched a couple.
2. If my research proves me right- All tom ford sunglasses have serial numbers on the left temple. Etched not raised. logo always on the left upper lens etched not raised
3. You can call Marcolin and ask them to help you. They are the US distributors (if you're in the US). They helped me authenticate my Sandras.

I work for Marcolin and it looks as though they are indeed fake. We work very hard to shut down unauthorized Tom Ford dealers. It is a desirable brand and costly to become a licensed TF dealer per the agreement they're not permitted to sell on line.
