Hi there, I own an original Tom Ford Jennifer bag and compared your pictures with my bag.
Your bag is the original first edition bag . The stitchings are tight, zipper same as mine, leather is again the original first edition quality.
The strap is shorter than the most recent styles and again this is consistent with the original style.

Thank you so much, I greatly appreciate your help. The buyer is claiming my bag is a "bad fake".... And initiated a paypal claim. I don't want to deal with her and just asked to please ship my bag back for refund but have not gotten any word on return shipping just yet. I am so disgusted by this I have never experienced anything like this. She is a repeat buyer and bought a LV Trevi from me last month. The bag was in like new condition and she opened a claim on PayPal saying the zipper has issues. She retracted the claim a few days later when I pleaded with her to check if may be bag stuffing got caught in the zipper at the time of packing. She apologized and told me the bag is perfect and closed the claim. Now about only a month later she is opening a claim for this Tom Ford saying it is a bad fake!!!!!

What was her basis for saying it is a fake? Maybe ask her why and you say you bought this bag on eBay from a trusted seller just a month ago, you are still under eBay protection so you can at least contact the original seller. By the way, what was the smell of the bag? Fake bags usually have that bad "leather" smell.

She wrote on PayPal that the leather on my bag doesn't match the leather on her other bag of a different color, that it is a "horrible fake" with bad stitching and wrong zippers and the bag parts don't fit properly together????? The bag is perfect and has no odor whatsoever which is extremely important to me. Overall it is beautiful bag inside and out and the leather and stitching are top notch- it is also evident in the pictures. I still have not heard anything back from her and don't have any notice that the bag was shipped back to me.

I contacted the original seller, and she explained the bag was purchased at the Tom Ford boutique in LA. She also gave me a good idea (albeit perhaps too late) that I should have asked the lady who is accusing me to go to the Tom Ford boutique (she also lives in LA) to obtain a proof that it is not authentic, because since the bag was bought there, obviously they will tell her right away it is real.....
However, I already agreed to accept it, and now awaiting the bag to be shipped back to me. So far, nothing from the buyer, who was so eager to get her refund "NOW". I remain anxious and deeply disturbed as I await the return shipping. Paypal has advised me to videotape opening the return bag to ensure she ships the actual bag back and in the same condition.

The lady's comment in paypal was that she has another one of a different color, and everything should match between her other bag and this one except color, but this one is different leather, etc....Therefore she determined it is a "horrible fake". I tried to explain to her it is the original edition and of course as we know the leather type varies between season, etc. But no response....
What an ordeal!!!

Update: received notification the bag was shipped back.

Just came across this thread...your buyer made a big mistake as the original edition is said to be more exclusive and of higher quality than the more recent releases. Hope you find a decent buyer that appreciates your lovely bag!

Thank you so much. This is exactly what my husband said. If she cant appreciate how special it is, too bad!! I am just so angry I have this dispute on my paypal history with all these comments saying how horrible this fake bag is!!!!

I sat last night and reviewed dozens of pictures of Jennifer Anniston with this black bag and it is exactly that bag, the zipper pulls are longer on this original version and leather is different than 2014 versions - this is such a shame that this lady would not agree to do proper research.

6/12/2015 19:45 PDT - Buyer: I received the item it is a horrible imitation of a real Tom Ford bag. I know that its fake due to the fact that i own another one already in a different color. this one is not the same even though the only thing that was supposed to be different is the color. it was supposed to be the same model but its not. the zipper is different than the authentic one i have. the stiching is different the quality of the materials used is lower than the authentic item. the bag was horribly imitated because parts dont fit together correctly.

Last year, I also bought a tom ford bag on eBay and didn't realize it was a fake until after 45 days when I went to California and saw what an original tom ford jennifer bag looks like. I lost $1500 as I don't have the paypal protection (lapse).
You really have to be careful whether you are a seller or a buyer

I received the bag back and will be listing it for sale. What do I do to prove it is authentic if someone who doesn't know what they are buying are going to bid? I always require my buyers to authenticate on this forum or other sources BEFORE they bid, but there is no way to enforce it. I can perhaps reference this authentication thread? Any advice is very much appreciated. I don't want to deal with people like that again....

My first questiong here in purseblog. I just wanted to know how to authenticate a Tom ford sunglasses. has anyone ordered sunglasses from http://www.eyewearbrands.com/ before ? I got a tomford celina sunglasses from there and on the authentication card the bit which says marcolin Spa...is on hte bottom right hand of the card, but the ones i have seen online are to the left ?

Is this unsual ? does this mean the sunglasses are not authentic ?
