Authenticate This Stella McCartney

Hi! I’m not an authenticator, but have authenticated some bags on here and own 5 Falabellas, which is ridiculous, but I love them that much! I know the telltale signs of fakes to look for. I don’t see any concerns about this bags authenticity whatsoever. The lining looks correct, fakes tend to have a cheap cotton looking lining. The authenticity cards match the bag. The stitching is tight and correct. The shaggy deer looks perfectly authentic. I think you did very well. The only thing I would suggest for even more peace of mind is to see that the numbers on the tag match the white tag found inside the inner pocket of the bag. I assume that’s where it would be on the mini. Also if there are any zippers, which I don’t think there are, check the side for YKK. It’s a more expensive zipper they use on the real Falabellas. It’s a great looking bag. I have been eyeing the mini bag for awhile but carry a lot of stuff and wonder how much I could fit in it. What’s nice is that it’s lighter weight than your larger small totes and especially foldover totes. If you still have any concerns you can contact Stella McCartney and email pictures of your bag, tags, codes, etc. and they will authenticate for free. I give that advice because they authenticated 2 of my second hand Falabellas, but I have heard people saying they didn’t have much luck with that route. There are professional authenticating sites that will authenticate for $10. If I write the name, this forum always blocks it out! Honestly, I think you’re all good. I’ve seen plenty of fakes now on eBay and can tell the difference. So enjoy your new bag, it’s adorable and I love the fringes! Gives it an edgy retro look. Hope this helps.

I know it’s a bit late, but the black gold chained small tote Falabella is authentic. I don’t know why I was unable to see new posts for awhile now. They changed the layout of the forum and I can’t view new posts easily. You have nothing to worry about if you purchased it. I was looking for the end of this forum to warn people about an eBay seller that had been selling fakes every few weeks. Sorry for the late response. Hope you purchased the bag. Small totes are my favorite style! I own 5 currently and 2 minis. Just sold 3, so I’m a bit of an addict! [emoji23]

Hello ..new to this forum and hoping someone can help authenticate this Stella Mccartney large tote bag. I think it is fake and bought off PoshMark..Have 2 days to return but the fact that both discs fell of when i tried to use zipper on inside of bag along with the pouch..well that is enough for me. May I ask you if this bag is authentic?

The seller claims there in no internal code since it is from 2012 and some bags did not have it.

I’m sorry I’m just seeing new posts now. I know it’s very late to reply but I do believe the bag is authentic. The date code was added around 2010 I believe because I’ve definitely seen bags from 2011 with the date code. I’m not as familiar with this style as I am with small totes, foldovers, large totes and minis. But the lining looks authentic, the shaggy Deer, which is extremely hard to replicate looks good, and the rest appears to be authentic. Not all bags have date codes, so I wouldn’t worry so much about that. I know probably too late but that’s my advice.

I just wanted to warn anyone who comes across a bag by the seller dyus686 on eBay. This person has been selling fakes for awhile now and I’ve seen countless people get scammed. They unfortunately are not well versed in Falabellas and even leave positive feedback saying they love the bag. I’m attaching the link to the current auction and photos for all to see. Notice how there are photos of 2 different bags. I’ve seen people spend upwards of $400 on these $45 fakes. It disgusts me and I wish there was a way to stop this seller. If anyone knows how to report a seller please let me know. I’ve tried using the options listed but there’s no place to explain why I’m reporting it. Here’s the link and photos.

I hope this helps anyone looking to buy a Falabella what a fake looks like. If you search ioffer.com for Falabellas you will find these bags and the alarming number of people who are buying them in bulk to scam people from all different countries. It’s a disgrace. If you ever have questions about a bag you’re looking to purchase secondhand feel free to post them here and I will help you. I truly hate seeing anyone waste their money on this illegal garbage!

The biggest thing I'm worried about is 1) the "Stella McCartney" words printed on the inner pocket of the bag are dotted and I've never seen that done before 2) the Stella McCartney logo is not printed on the top snap closure (but if you zoom into the photos, it is printed on the lower snap closure). But I'm not sure if maybe this blue colour is unique in those aspects? Please let me know!

Hi! I have to say you have an excellent eye for details! More girls need to do their homework before purchasing Falabellas! I’ve seen horrible fakes have multiple bidders on eBay and it makes me crazy! I’ve never owned this exact style but just looked a few up. I definitely don’t think you have anything to worry about regarding authenticity! On the few bags I looked at, the Stella Mccartney is inscribed on the bottom snap, not top. I’ll attach pics. As for the embossed Stella Mccartney being dotted, I have no idea! I have owned 10 different Falabellas, sold some, bought some more, lol, yeah, I’m addicted to them! I have photos of all the inside labels and none are dotted. I wouldn’t let it deter you from thinking it’s not authentic at all. The lining is usually a dead giveaway for me. Fakes never get the lining correct! It always looks like really cheap cotton to me. This bag has the correct lining, chains, stitching, etc. Perhaps they started making the labels out of dots to throw off replicas? It almost looks raised too, unless that’s just how it seems in the pics. I have a few 2018 bags and checked for dots, and can’t find any. What year is this bag? Definitely authentic, I almost bought a mini in that same color recently... Hope this helps and I’ll keep checking labels for the dotted SM!

I actually just looked at a Falabella mini I just purchased but haven’t received yet and when I expanded the letters, they actually are dotted. So no worries! [emoji3]

Hi, I just looked at a picture of the bag I just bought but hasn’t arrived yet and upon closer inspection, the Stella Mccartney is made up of dots too. You have nothing to worry about. It’s definitely an authentic bag and I hope you love it!
