Even as a complete ignorant, those were my suspicions on handling the two items. The bag leaves a huge grin on my face and I love it but the purse just doesn't seem right.
The ebay seller was lovely mind you. She let me know in advance of posting that the zip pull in purse had come off in her hand as she was getting ready to mail and offered to cancel the sale - or I could go ahead and get the cutest little matching keyring purse charm for the bag included to compensate.

I'm not sure what to do next. Any advice from TPF members welcome! I'll certainly contact seller again to ask where she bought both the bag and purse. Could you please take a look at the bag charm keyring pictures too for authenticity? If it is genuine, then I probably got a decent deal overall, but I can't bear the idea of counterfeiting and do not want to own the purse.

Is there any feature in particular in the purse that I can point to as counterfeit when I email seller please Kriscat or JazzyJay?

Hi can someone please tell me if the Somerset Hobo was ever made with a Magnetic Popper fastening? I have 3 all with RIRI M6 Zips and this one just looks odd. I don't need you to authenticate just want to know if they ever made this design with a popper fastener.

We don't disclose reasons why an item is deemed counterfeit as we don't want to help the replica makers do a better job, iykwim? If specific reasons are needed, you can obtain a written statement(for a fee) from authentication services like Authenticate4you or Fakespotters.
In this case, I'd go with overall appearance and see what seller says prior to paid for services.
I will have a look at the bag charm for you....

Well, I need a pic of the bag to be able to tell.....as quite a few models have been called "hobo" in the past.
