Dear Authenticators,

Can you authenticate a MCM keychain? I got this as a gift. I know that this is authentic because she personally knows the owner of MCM but I find it “off” that the metal stamp of MCM is not centered. I don’t know if it was intentional, like sort of the design.

Help! Can someone help me authenticate this.
McM stark backpack (small). Bought this from a supposed reliable online store.
I compared it to the picture displayed in MCM official website.
Note that contrary to picture on MCM website, the zipper thread is sewn around instead of the middle. And side pockets are singular instead of double. Everything else looks good. I was told stocks are from Italy. Bag is made in Korea. Do they have different styles? Last season's stock? Help somebody??

Hi I saw your message. I am not as well versed in newer bags as I am vintage MCM. From what I can see in this particular bag on the outside, the maker definitely did what is expected. The patterns mirror each other on both sides. Even the break in the diamond at the top matches, as well as the positioning of all the logos. It’s truly a good looking bag. Because it is made by a different company than the original German manufacturer. I can’t say for sure that the hardware and the inside of the bag is authentic, what I can say is that it is not an obvious fake. I’m sorry I can’t help you any further I just don’t have much experience and up front knowledge of the current manufacturer. Oh and to address your question about the plate, in person the plate is really small. Maybe an inch at most, again this is what I’ve seen in my vintage MCM bags. I don’t know the price but if it was a good deal I would consider purchasing it for sure. I just wish I could help you better in authenticating it. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of further assistance to you.

Thanks for the original pictures, After seeing them, I’m not able to give you positive results. The bag doesn’t have the crisp lines as the original pictures you sent me. It could be authentic and maybe someone else can way in but I wouldn’t purchase this bag. I’m sorry I just can’t advise it and I despise fakes. There some websites on line that can authenticate it for a small fee. I just can’t give a solid yes on this one.

Do they have a return policy? Is there a place you can have it looked at in your area? I can definitely see why you are interested in the bag and it has a lot of similarities to the original, but the little details are definitely lacking and not worth the chance to me.

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me authenticate this bag. I was convinced it was real freedom the pictures onlinebut more that I have it in my hands I'm not so sure. I can't find a pictureof one like it anywhere. The inside tag doesn't have the logo and the material seems thin. It also doesn't say MCM on the hinges. Other than that everything looks right, but I'm not real familiar with this brand. I have more pictures if these aren't enough. I have two days to decide if I want to return it so any help will be greatly appreciated!!

I would definitely send it back. That patch with the plate on it is why I would send it back.
