That link doesn't work, here's the correct link:
eBay.co.uk: Marc Jacobs Genuine Black Ursula Clutch/Purse/Wallet (item 160014161422 end time 02-Aug-06 21:00:00 BST)

I don't authenticate wallets because they're very difficult, but in this case, this one is definitely fake because the Lampo zipper is incorrect.

Has anyone purchased anything from the ebay seller: Upscale Handbags and Shoes?
No, definitely not. I checked out the white sophia and there are too many grommets in the strap and the barcode on the tag is wrong wrong wrong. Stay away from her items.

I was told by folks on the forum that another clutch I was interested in on ebay was fake b/c the lampo zipper was the wrong type of lampo (ie it didn't have the lightning bolt). However, today I was at the MJ store in boston buying a zip clutch and looked at some of the quilted ones. They all had lampo zippers without the lightning bolt. These were new ones for fall. I ended up with a non-quilted clutch in amythest which doesn't have any type of lampo zipper but the quilted ones definitely had the lampo without the lightning bolt.

On the vogue1966 about me site on ebay, she states that some MJ bags have a different Lampo zipper which has LAMPO written in uneven letters all caps. I don't really know what that looks like, but I guess it could be the same zipper as the one on that clutch. Some authentic Gucci purses have the lampo zipper as seen above with all uneven caps. hpzapper, a PF member, and seller on ebay has a good pic of that zipper on a gucci bag.

Clutches are indeed difficult to authenticate! I prefer to stay away from those online. It seems that MJ changes details season to season. Thanks cmacmill for updating us on the Lampo zipper. Do you know if those are on the quilted style only? And if it so, patent or calf? Would be good to know for reference.

Another detail about clutches is the leather zipper pull. That seems to vary from season to season. Some clutches have it, some don't. So far, I *think* that the calf quilted do have the leather zipper pull and the patent quilted don't have it.

Yes, I'm glad to have bought mine from the store rather than ebay since they are so difficult to authenticate. The quilted ones with the old style lampo (no lightning bolt) were both calf leather. They did not have any patent in stock. The non-quilted one that I got (amethyst) has a riri zipper that says "M6" at the bottom. Interestingly, one of the quilted clutches had the leather zipper pull and the other did not. I believe the tan one had the pull and the cream one did not. I don't know what the official color names are b/c they weren't colors I was interested in and I was drawn away by the amethyst one I ended up getting...

The lampo logo is indeed the one Vogue1996 has pictured as being the older style that she says was only on a few bags in 2002/2003. It apparently is more widespread. I was surprised to see it, especially given when I went to lampo's website, it seemed like they had really switched over to the lightning bolt.
