Ladies, what do you think of these Venetias from seller bummie4you? Many things don't seem right to me. I haven't checked out the seller's items & feedbacks.

That bag looks fake to me. Not many auth petrol stams on ebay, I don't personally remember ever seeing a real one. I heard that one sold for over $1400 used once. In any case, the font on the nameplate is too thick, the black looks painted in to make the font appear antique. Here is a real nameplate, see how much thinner the font is?

I understand what the other girls are talking about, it would be nice to see a better view of that area.

If the photos are too big, you could upload them into a free image hosting website. Here's a website that you can upload your photos on and post so that we may see. It's free. It will give you the message board code to post the thumbnail to the actual photo:

Both those bags look too boxy IMO, it could be the angle but you're right, something looks off. Here's a listing for another Olive Venetia, the style number is completely different:

There are many details that are off with bummie4you's Venetias, it's good to know that replica makers do get these wrong.

1. Line#1 contains the style number which is C352xxx: C352 stands for Fall 2005 Collection, xxx is unique to each style (same for all colors). That seller's Venetias have different style numbers: Black (C352001) & Olive (C352471). Soft Calf CLASSICS line is usually listed before other lines so the last 3 numbers should be very low -- 352001 is more like it. The listing you posted has C352001. Fall 2005 Elise's style number is C352008.

Alioops recently asked about an Olive Multipocket whose style number is C352472 <-- I thought 472 was off at the time I checked it out.


2. Line#2 represents the style name, it's supposed to say VENETIA (rather than SOFT CALF WH).

i believe it. i've had such a difficult time trying to find one. yes! the font is a lot thinner. i don't know if its just the flash from the picture if it is that thick. its really a shame because i've been looking everywhere for one and i can't seem to find one anywhere! the petrol blue is such a gorgeous colour too. i asked her to send me even more pictures of the bag just to be sure. i'm starting to notice that a lot of the real ones i've seen don't have the black painted in. i don't know if that goes for all authentic stam bags or just some but that's what i've noticed. but i still don't really know what exactly to look for when purchasing a stam bag, do you think you could let me know what to look for?

i recently found another one! let me know what you think of this one.

i sent her a message earlier today asking for the receipt for the bag and she said she has it but she's not able to show me a photo of it due to her supplier's return policy and she apologized.... so i don't know about that.

^ Please do not go for it. Authentic Stams (even used ones) are over $1000USD on ebay, those with suede linings (no longer made) are even more in-demand.

Petrol Stam is very rare, I have read about it being sold for ~$4000 on ebay. All the Petrol Stams on ebay are fake, Taupe Stam is hard to come by too.

^it worked! still not a good angle of the bag in terms of that piping, but nameplate and zipperhead look good. The reserve is reasonable. Still leaning toward authentic.
