Couture Coco the coat may well be genuine but you need more photos to verify.
Ask the seller for photos of the Lanvin label, and take a look at how the label is attached to the garment.
I've bought a few pieces from Ebay France and the sellers have all been helpful and happy to provide additional information.

I did ask for a photo of the label and for the exact material content. Please can you let me know about the label attachment for when/if she should send it to me. I've seen so many things on the Ebay France but their sellers usually don't take PP and don't ship abroad:sad:

Coco the seller is being cooperative which is great.

Now you need to check some other good sellers for their labels to compare - do a search, lots will come up. Check if the stitching is similar.
All my Lanvin pieces are current (Alber Elbaz era) which means the season and year are on the label. This piece is older.
If I'm buying from an individual I politely ask if they are confident of the provenance of their item; since this is a store that's probably unnecessary (and they could take offense) but you might ask for their professional opinion re the age of the coat.
Assuming the piece is genuine (and it probably is) and as described I think the price is good for a Lanvin silk coat.
