Thank you tatertot! I have more... to ask please!

Her/their charms are legit. I've bought from them with no issues in the past. I only have one reservation and it's the chocolate box charm. The charm is authentic but for some reason I thought it came in a Lmtd Edtn box without the clasp. I could be completely wrong but without a pic of the tag it's hard to be sure. Katierose or another expert should hopefully be along soon who can help.

Hi tatertot, thanks much again for your input! I'm sorry though, I don't quite understand what you mean by the clasp not coming with the box? Do you mean where the lobster claw is supposed to be hooked on inside of every JC charm box? ~.~ sorry for all these questions, am new to JC Charms :) TIA!

Oh! I'm so sorry, I should have been more specific since the clasp on the charm is usually all we address. The boxes have had many changes, especially recently and I'm not sure the Limited Edition box this particular charm came in had a golden flap down lock/clasp to keep the box shut so I wanted to be sure or get a second opinion. Some of the newer boxes just close with a magnet. The charm is authentic and so is the box. Here is link to the charm and it's proper box in the reference thread http://forum.purseblog.com/juicy-co...-charms-bracelets-482240-25.html#post17418052 post #371 You can always check there first if an auction is ending and you need an answer quick :)

That seller is a trusted seller IMHO.
RE: the box. My boxes are packed away so not sure. But I imagine this seller buys a lot of charms from the outlet and they are not as reliable when it comes to the boxes. I see a lot of charms in different boxes there, usually the older boxes. In fact they still sell charms in the older brown boxes sometimes.

Hi Tatertot & Katierose, I see what you're referring to! Are the JC Boxes a collectors' item too? @__@

I see where this might be a problem if I want to sell them later on, but is it a big deal if the charms don't come in their specific boxes? What do you gals think? I'm not too concerned over the boxes, am head over heels on the charms. Only that if its a factor that may affect the future potential in selling them, then should I be asking the seller questions on the boxes?

>.< I don't want to come off as a picky would be buyer :( sorry for all these questions!

Yes, some collectors are concerned about the boxes, they want the exact box (with tag) that the charm came in. They feel this helps authenticate the charm and some are willing to pay more for the charm if it comes with the correct box.

Personally I don't really care about the boxes since I don't plan on selling my charms, as long as I can verify that it's authentic, that's all I care about.
Also the boxes are a PITA to store with a large collection, and I wish I had thrown them out when I first started buying them and hadn't kept them along the way! LOL.

May I jump in and ask a question? I buy charms from TJ Maxx and Nordstrom's Rack and although the boxes have the proper labels on them, i.e., labeling describes the correct charm, the boxes, box color and closure are sometimes different from what you're describing here.

Is it not considered an "original box" if the authentic Juicy charm comes in an authentic box with the correct labeling.

(The reason I mention correct label at all is that in rare cases, I've seen a charm in a box marked as a different charm. I'm aware that sometimes buyers might mistakenly return a charm to the wrong box when examining several different pieces. That's not what I'm referring to above, though.)

I sometimes worry that in this sub-forum, the color and style of boxes are focused on so much that an authentic item might be reported because the box isn't what you expect it to be.

:D I totally understand now. Another question which probably sounds stupid... by tags you mean those white stickers on the back of the box? I notice on some listings some of the charms come attached with a black stringed tag that says 'Juicy Couture', are all charms supposed to come with this black tag as well?

The boxes are pretty, and I do agree that it's bulky to store - but its an investment worth keeping if it meant that it would up the re-sale value even a wee bit! :)

TIA!

This is why I made the comment about the outlet boxes sometimes being different. I would put TJM and NR in the same category as the JC outlets. Juicy is not as concerned about the boxes for these charms since they are sold in outlets.
Of course they are authentic IMHO, as long as the charm checks out, it's fine.

If anyone else has a differing opinion, maybe they will post.

Tags = the white stickers, yes. Juicy charms have numbers (sometimes more than one) and the number is printed on the sticker.

RE: the stringed tag. I have received charms with those from many places including JC. Most don't come with it though, I think stores put those on, but the stores I shop at don't usually do that.

RE: the boxes. I don't pay more for tagged boxes. As long as the charm checks out, I don't care about the boxes. Also it's no guarantee that the charm is authentic.

If anyone else pays more for charms in the original tagged boxes, maybe they will post here and add to the discussion.

I will add, that I won't buy a charm in a fake box, though. I don't care to deal with anyone who buys/sells anything fake because I don't think I can trust them.

Is that one authentic (have that for 5 ish years and bought used )

If it is not authentic it is very good quality as all studs (gems) are still there :)
