Need better pics. Ask the seller for more pictures: A crisp close-up of the flap hardware, both front (to see font and logo placement) and back (so you can see the type of screws used). Also a crisp closeup of the lilac plate and snap below zipper.

However, I am really suspicious of someone who starts an auction for a $1600 bag at $200.

I am at a loss on this bag. There are a couple of items which make me question the bag, but the seller has good F/B and has been an established seller for several years. I would contact the seller and ask her when & where she purchased the bag and also to ask for some additional close up photos of the locking closure and some additional inside bag shots. I am concerned she is either selling a fake bag and borrowed some one else's photo of the lilac tag or that the photos are taken with reflections. Also, depending on what year she purchased the bag, it might explain some things.

Really? It looked good to me. I compared with the pictures you posted earlier. Although it was ackward she did posted kinda the same picture you did?? Can people make that good of fake bags? WOW.... what world do we live in??

Now that I see a close-up of the hardware on the front flap of the Ramona, I can tell it is a FAKE :cursing: . Didn't even need to see the back side of this metal piece. The JC logo is not vertically centered between the screws = FAKE.

I'm not knowledgable about the Alex, perhaps jmcadon or Robynbenz might want to jump in on the Alex.

And yes, there are some pretty realistic looking fakes out there. The only way to get authentic is to buy from a reputable seller or, better yet directly from JC.

ITA w/ Jburgh the JC logo is way off on the gold locking closure, the "Made in Italy" is not aligned and the biggest indication was the fact the Patent Leather Ramona's & Riki's did not have patent leather trim on the inside or the underside of the handles:tdown:

The Alex looks Fake when you look at it close:throwup:

There are several authentic bags on ebay right now. What would be your first choice and color? The bags are few and far between, but you can find a good buy if you know what you are looking for and what you are really looking at.
