Hi Purse Forum Members,

I need a little help from you all. I need to find an appraiser or authentication service for Isabella Fiore Handbags in San Francisco Bay Area. I found an IF Pug Handbag with Ostrich Leather handles at my local thrift store, and I need to know if a fake or not. I live in San Francisco and cannot find someone who can help me with authentication.

Here are the pictures of the bag: IF Bag Picasa Album

Thanks for any help you can provide. Much appreciated!

Sincerely,

Chonita

Hey all, this is my first time posting on this thread. I do have a question about the IF bags. I have about ten IF bags. I have never questioned authenticity but now I am not so sure. The only ones I am worried about are the leather bags with anchor and roses. I believe it is called Anchors Away. I have the Britta and messenger bag both in black. I did the magnet test but it does stick to the chains and the little stick that holds buckle in place. The magnet does not stick to the buckles, circular hardware or the charms hanging on the side. This happens to both bags. I called my friend who bought the same bag but brown with the skull on the front from Nords years ago, and she said hers did the same thing. I am so confused. I also want to know what color this bag should be from the inside. I have seen a sky blue as well as a royal blue shade on the inside of the bags. Which is fake? Please help!!!!!!

Here are some pictures. I plan to sell it but want to make sure it's genuine first! It is really heavy, and I am 99% sure it's real, but would like verification if you don't mind.
Thank you so much in advance.

Item: Isabella Fiore Brown Hobo
Seller: Savers Thrift Store
Dimensions: 16” wide, by 11.5” high, by 4”deep
Photos: http://s1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee413/katev2/Isabella Fiore Brown Hobo/

Some of the photos came out rather dark, the bag is a rich brown color, like whiskey or rum! Let me know if you need more photos.

Comments: I had never even heard of Isabella Fiore before today, but I spotted this bag at the thrift store for $13 this afternoon and I just knew that it was a “major bag”! I couldn’t believe all of the detailing and fine craftsmanship and it is sooooo heavy and beautiful!

Please authenticate and thanks in advance for your help!

I’ve been trying to do some research but so far I haven’t found out much, except that some IF bags are up for auction on ebay.

If it is genuine, I would appreciate any information you can share about IF and this bag. The style name, color name, approximate date of manufacture, original cost, just anything! Or if you could direct me to a site where I can find more information that would be great, thanks again!

I've found a post in this thread with pics of a tote that seem to be of the same line and my bag. The line is called Quilty Pleasures, the link is below.

BTW, I have checked and a magnet does NOT stick to the hardware and the bag does have a white "Made in China" tag inside.

Thanks again for your help!

Great news! SpacyTracy has the same Isabella Fiore Quilty Pleasures bag (in the the tote style) and I’ve just heard from her:

“I took out mine and compared and holy smokes it looks like you got an amazing deal on that!! Everything looks totally spot on and I would def say it's real. Congrats on a steal of a find!!”
:yahoo:

Thanks so much for your help, Tracy!

Could someone authenticate this Isabella Fiore bag? I found the bag at a thrift. I remember seeing this bag at Nordstrom a long time ago, but I don't know if knock-offs were made of it. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thank you for the comment! Yes, I believe the bag is from the 90's because I remember seeing all her embellished bags on proud display at the handbag counter in Nordstrom. It appears to be authentic, but need a better trained eye than mine to authenticate. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello all! I'd seen this purse (fabric and leather with beaded strawberries) at Goodwill and went back for it after finding out Isabella Fiore was a "name" - I plan to sell it if it's real, it's not my style, although it's sort of growing on me because it's SO not my style, if that makes sense! :p

I know NOTHING about these purses except that from reading this thread it's older if real? I've Googled and didn't come up with any good reference sites for this designer either, so if this thing is authentic any info you have on it would be greatly appreciated! Also, it does have some smudges and marks on it, not sure if it's cleanable or not - anyone clean these lately? Thanks in advance!

I found an IF with, I believe pugs. It was at the Salvation Army for $3.99. I didn't know much about IF, so I just purchased the bag. After all for that price, why not? I believe a stone is missing from the dog's collar and a few from the bow, but all in all the bag looks pretty good.

Hi Everyone *GRINS*

I just purchased an Isabella Fiore on eBay for a friend of mine. The location of the bag said it was "Made in Italy" but when I recieved it, there was clearly a tag saying "Made In China."

I don't know much about these bags as I am so new to this.

You have a beautiful bag, it looks very well made, as for if it is authentic or not, I don't know what to think.

Is there a tag in your bag saying where it was made? Are ANY Isabella Fiore bags actually made in Italy?

I was reading up on the designers and found this article...
Fashionable Beginnings:
Isabella Fiore’s founder
Jennifer Tash had her roots in fashion long before creating a line of her
own. She spent years working as a visual display manager and accessories buyer in Los Angeles
where she developed an eye for detail. During one of her many buying trips to Italy, she was
inspired by the European’s chic sensibility and ability to accessorize. Tash thought it was time to
bring that same sense of style to the United States. In 1995, she focused her industry knowledge
and creative talents to design her own line of silk floral pins for Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and
Saks Fifth Avenue. Tash named her blossoming company Isabella Fiore, playing off the lyrical
Italian phrase for
beautiful flower. "Women
constantly tell us they create their wardrobes around them," says Jennifer Tash, with designer
Trang Huynh.

Trang Huynh,
an accomplished bridal couture designer joined the design team just after it’s
inception and brought an endless supply of design knowledge to the table. Her skills and creative
talent were a perfect match for Tash’s wit and visual styling. Just one year later, Isabella Fiore’s
business was growing, and Tash and Huynh turned their creative energy to designing a unique line
of handbags that would eventually light up city streets, and enhance every women’s wardrobe.
Tash and Huynh worked side by side in a tiny Los Angeles studio to develop Isabella Fiore’s
signature look. They did everything from source materials and design handbags to packing and
shipping the products to their rapidly growing list of large retail clients and small boutiques. In the
midst of the cramped quarters and endless mountains of silk, leather, sequins and beads, Tash

and Huynh’s creative talents flourished, and the Isabella Fiore line continued to grow. SO I guess Isablle is not a person, but a group of designers, still I am curious if anyone knows if AUTHENTIC IF bags are ever made in China.
