Seller: Vestiaire Collective
Link: https://www.vestiairecollective.com...ticolour-cashmere-hermes-scarf-22198255.shtml
Vestiaire requires a paid authentication step as part of purchase, I suggest you ask them for photos of the features (signature and copyright are lacking as I remember) during their scrutiny of the scarf
I may be wrong, but VC allows sellers to take photos (of dubious utility), then the scarf is sent to VC for a detailed inspection, see sellers thread for comments on VC
I dont see red flags but the photos dont show all

Hi, I’d like to get an opinion on this one tho FP is a reputable seller:

Item: Hermes Silk Mors Et Tresses Maxi Twilly Cut Violet Vert Rouge
Listing number: 883061
Seller: Fashionphile
Link: https://www.fashionphile.com/p/hermes-silk-mors-et-tresses-maxi-twilly-cut-violet-vert-rouge-883061
I dont see red flags but
1. Twillies and all their variants hmmm. These usually are feature-free - no signatures, titles, hems etc. ALMOST nothing to work on - generally not possible to authenticate with accuracy.
AND Hermes produces them in Volume, too many designs, cws to keep track of
There are BILLIONS of $5 letter perfect fakes of these scarves (that I know near nothing about)

2. I have almost no knowledge of this design, I dont know where the copyright should be located. I am not a twilly specialist.

3. It is comforting to see a blurry store tag (@turfnsurf noticed that not me). but I cant make it out, and it hides the caretag

4.The web page states 100% authentic or your money back ... They took a shot of the store tag, and it is blurry ... deliberate ???
See comments on FP in sellers thread
FP has more info than I do ....

RANT ALERT
The cookie banner - wanting me to sign up for all their cookies ughhh _ made it real hard to see the photos
I dont CHOOSE to let FP track me and send me spam advertising

Sadly neither of these sales has the photos needed for authentication , I am making some generic comments here , will try to say something about about each sale individually later if I get a chance

1. We try not to guess on this thread, you come to us for help, for that last bit of assurance,
BUT you gotta give us something to work on, photos, or we must resort to guessing, and we dont do that here

2. I realize that many sellers, ie those in these sales, never seem to offer adequate photos - see comments in sellers threads about vendors
In part, these sites have their own authentication systems, there is no motivation for them to cough up photos for someone else to do the job especially when the sites make you pay for their services
There is little hope of getting more photos

3. FYI, IMHO
Lots of sites operate differently depending on whether you use a mobile device or PC etc I tried both.
But, am aware that different devices may be able to zoom photos , mouse over better etc.
Your VIEW of the site may be different from either one of my VIEWS

Thanks. I found the photos of this design and CW from H website but decided not to buy it. Good to know that it’s harder to authenticate twilly so better buy these directly from H.

This one has a geometric check , kind of an op art thing - I could not make out the exact pattern in my copies of the H copies of in the FP photos
I do know that is important to check , fakes don’t get the op art / visual effect right a lot of the time

a d of course, recent fakes are in the exact cw deliberately , so the overall color scheme is not much of anything to go on

And… why not have the tag in focus ??? that was deliberately out of focus …

The copyright is in the top right corner, about 1/4 of the way down the scarf in the vines section. I've seen threads that note some fakes being listed on TRR, hence my concerns. No pics of the tag unfortunately. Thanks in advance for your kind assistance.

Appreciate if I could have your opinion on this scarf.

Not sure if photos are clear enough for you to make a determination. Extra photo provided to show the H copyright & artist’s signature as per my request – but again not sure if these are clear enough to support an opinion. Care tag removed but store tag included.

Sadly not sufficient resolution to make reliable determination. Presence of copyright doesn’t clinch authenticity (I wish it did); focused photos of details are imperative.

If Sellers of genuine scarves would simply provide them I’m sure sales would increase.

Thank you so much for your time.
Hi. Just my two cents. The great thing about buying scarves on TRR is they are returnable if it’s not on significant sale. Unlike their bags which can not be returned, “technically”. So get the scarf home, find great pictures of it online that you can zoom in on ( or ask a scarfie who owns it to take some pics), and compare with the scarf in your hand. Return it if you are still worried. Granted it’s a $26 investment. Many resellers are going to have some good fakes slip by.
Do some research on the ‘post the fakes’ thread to see what to look for in fakes. You can do it. Believe me. Best
