Item: Hermes scarf Toros 1952 Hugo Grygkar

Sorry, but we need better pictures. Need one close-up of the center so that I can see fabric and printing features. Also, a picture of a part of the back of the scarf (corner with a bull is sufficient) and a close-up of the hem. The seller may be well advised to add them to the listing.

Also ask many many questions about the exact condition of the scarf. These vintage pieces only command high prices if they come from a reputable seller specializing in vintage (this seller does not match this criteria) and if condition is really as described. The pictures are way to distant and blurry to be able to make out details.

Comments: At first, the pictures on this item were exactly the pictures from this past listing: http://www.expert-vintage.com/home/169-hermes-scarf-tuch-foulard-carre-en-soie.html This seemed weird (I even reported this sale). I asked the owner for more pictures, and she posted the ones that you can currently see. Most of them are blurry :(
videdressing.com offers a guarantee (if the buyer has a doubt regarding authenticity, he/she can send the item back to videdressing’s authenticators), but I’m still concerned.
Thanks in advance for your answer.

edit: I don’t even know why I ask. My guts tell me it would be a mistake ;)

To the best of my knowledge, this scarf was only issued in 2 color ways, besides, it lacks the brand name where it should be. I think it's not authentic.

??? I don't fully understand what you are trying to say ???

The pictures of the scarf are those of an authentic one.

If you have doubts that the seller has this very same item in possession, then don't buy.

The scarf may be the same as the one from the other page, it can also be a co-incidence. It is possible that seller number 2 has agreement from seller number 1 to use the pics. Other options do exist of course ...

Returns are always a huge hassle. Regarding videdressing, I suggest that you check out the subforums on them.

If your gut tells to not proceed with this, then you should maybe listen to it :graucho:

Birkinmary, thanks for chiming in (I recall you have that one). I am aware of at least 3 colorways of this design and knowing the irregularities, which can arise when it comes to vintage H, I want to see more pics before I slaughter a seller (even this one).

Hello authenticators, would you kindly take a look a look at this scarf?

Thank you so much in advance!

Comments: Hi all~ would appreciate your help with this vintage scarf. I've shopped with this seller quite a lot and not had any problems, and bought both designer and non-designer vintage from them. I'm checking because this is more expensive than other items I've bought with them, and also because it looks like this might have been returned--somebody won the auction on it a month or so ago, but now it's up for sale again. The auction is ending in just over a day but they always eventually relist their items, so even if you can't authenticate right away it could still be helpful. Thank you!

this is authentic.
re-listed item does not have to be 'sold and returned'. It can also be 'non-paying bidder' or other problems coming from the buyer's side.
