Ladies,

Can you tell me anything about these cards I acquired. They do not look like any of my others. Thanks for any insight.

Hello Authenticators. I just purchased one of my grails off Ebay and it feels stiffer and not as soft as other scarves I own. The "feel" of it has me concerned. I am happy to post pictures of it directly as well, but here is the original listing info:

Please let me know if additional photos will help! Thank you!

Hello all!

Thanks!!

I have just received this beautiful scarf from a reputable eBay seller. Could you lay my mind at rest and please authenticate it for me.
Many thanks!

Item: c’est la fête
Listing number: 251469568148
Seller: discountdestock
Link: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Hermes-Paris-Cest-fete-Silk-Scarf-new-tags-/251469568148

Comments: i am not knowledgable enough to be comfortable posting this in the “hall of shame” (please feel free to move it there). i am, however, flabbergasted that this seller is selling a "c’est la fete" in 90 x 90 for the second (!) time. too bad i did not see this earlier but in case it is not authentic, maybe it would make sense to contact the vendor and/or ebay?
(i would jump on this but feel that i am way too much out of my depth.)

Hi, I wonder if one of you could help me with this scarf.

Item Title: Auth HERMES New Box ' Jardin Greole ' Silk scarf - MPRS
Seller: trendyground2009
Item Number:201047338263

Comments: I know the rules regarding authenticating BEFORE purchase, but this seller is one of the ones mentioned by the authenticators as a trusted reseller of Hermes scarves - and I have purchased another lovely H scarf from her before - therefore I bid with confidence. However, I was very surprised when I received the scarf, because the colors are not true to the listing photos, even accounting for variations in monitor colors. Then, I just happened to be on Toolhaus this morning, looked at the seller's negative FB, and noticed that someone returned this exact scarf, claiming it to be a very bad fake. My own observations: the colors on the scarf I received are not true to the colors as depicted on the Ebay photos. The outside border is a deep navy blue, and the interior blue is not turquoise as shown on the ebay photos, but rather a medium blue without any hint of turquoise. Similarly, the other colors on the scarf are deeper than the pictures on the listing show. I have examined the scarf in comparison with both the listing and the photos on the HSCI website, and I've examined the quality of the silkscreening and the feel of the silk. The blues shown on the HSCI website are also brighter than my scarf, though not as bright as depicted on the Ebay listing. Could these variations on color be the result of camera flash? The silk has the heavy, crisp feel of a new Hermes scarf and the complexity of the pattern and color printing looks authentic to me. Also the hems look absolutely perfect. Overall, I feel it is authentic and not a "very bad fake," but because the negative feedback is there on what appears to be the same scarf, I thought I had better check. If the authenticators think it is authentic, I will keep it and leave positive feedback, as I have wanted this pattern for many years. Sorry about being so long-winded, and thank you very much for your help!

it is of course not authentic.
C'est la Fête does not exist in this size.
The seller has been discussed here and elsewhere and seems to have 'selling fakes' as business idea. I doubt that he/she will even listen to you.

1. The Jardin Creole is authentic (and a fabulous piece!)

2. Trendyground remains a trusted seller in terms of authenticity.

3. It can be extremely difficult to show the real colors of a scarf in pictures. BTW, Hermès themselves are not perfect on that either. Don't know how often I have seen something online and the reality was far away. If a flash is used, then this effect gets even stronger ... Just try it yourself. Make pictures of your own scarves and then view them on different screens. You may get interesting results.

4. Screen settings: what you see is also highly dependent on what you use to view the listing: computer screen in high resolution, ipad, iphone etc. If I look at the pictures on three different computers, I see 3 different color sets. My high-resolution screen does not show turquoise, just a dark sky blue in the interior and I see navy blue on the border ... .

5. The buyer who left negative feedback has either no clue or did leave negative feedback on purpose. Both phenomenons are more common than you think (and again - we had this before - forget about Ebay doing anything about it quickly). Most sellers don't waste their time on it and just move on (trendyground has certainly a set base of customers who come back again and again regardless of the FB).

I may add that negative feedbacks left for poor packaging and discoloration which sometimes is seen in real life only. Bought couple of scarves from the seller and never had problems.
