Dear All:

Not to contradict but I came across this - a posting on another brand by another member:
Quote
I've had all my items from Yoogi's and Fashionphile looked at by our authenticators after the item was purchased with no problems. You do have to have a working link from the sale though. Under your account and my orders, you will see last ordered items. When you click there, the page will open. Just copy and paste that link and post it with your request. Items sell so quickly on Yoogi's that it would be nearly impossible to have and item authenticated and purchase before it gets snatched up. In the rules on the Authenticate This LV, it does not state that it has to be a live auction or sale. It does however state, We will not authenticate for those who post photos only and cannot provide a link to online auction/sale. You should post your request soon before you are not able to open the sale link. With a Fashionphile it stays available but with Yoogi's, I can only view the page for a short period of time. Good luck! Unquote

Different subforums have different rules for authentication. I believe you took that quote from the LV authentication thread? This is in the first post in this thread, which we do ask all posters to please read before making a request. I have highlighted the relevant portion.

It is the preference of the authenticators on this thread not to give authentication to members who buy and resell scarves as an ongoing practice. It is also the preference of the authenticators to comment on current, not closed, auctions and sales, and to give authentication to members who post in a range of threads, not just requesting free authentication for designer items. If your request is not answered here, for whatever reasons, professional authentication services are available outside of PF.

Item: Dies et Hore

Comments: I know this is a pattern that is faked often, the photos here look good to me, but I was under the impression that the astrological figures typically cast a shadow, and I don't see any shadows here. Also, not seeing this colorway on the HSCI Hermes Scarf Catalogue website.

Can anyone give me their opinion on this scarf?

Astrologie (Dies et Hore by Francoise Faconnet) I think it's from the 60s or 70s
There is no 'care label' and no copyright symbol that I can find. Does this mean straight away that it's fake? Did Hermes have them on the scarves in the 60s?
The other thing is measurements 91 x 86. But can the fabric pull out of shape in time.

Any input on this is most welcome! Thanks in advance!

Comments: All the feedback in the "discuss sellers" seems to be positive but I just wanted to make certain. I'm usually leery of auctions stating "unused" for items 15-20 years old, but as I now have a shelf half-full of unused 10-15 year old H scarves, I now find it reassuring I'm not the only nut buying stuff I've no intention of ever using (though I love the colors in this one, and have every intention of framing it)!

Hello Ladies. Is this scarf authentic?

Thank you.

this is authentic

note: seller has private feedback only and I am a bit surprised to see current collection items below retail. Exchange period for H in Europe is 3 months and if you have realized that you don't like, why don't take it back? would be interesting to see whether there are store receipts available.

Comments: Dear ladies, I have never seen this pink cw and wanted to confirm whether it is authentic. TIA!

Kittyhawk, I'm not commenting on authentication of this specific piece, but I do have this GM in this cw and love it! I was told it was limited in number and quite difficult to find. Think I've seen 3 on eBay in about 10 years...Hope it is authentic, it is my fave of the Early America cws!!

this is authentic and from a lovely seller (has changed user-ID).

Thank you so much, dame de coeur I really appreciate the speedy response!

Oh thank you Luvbolide, I had no idea this cw was so rarely on eBay! I absolutely love all of the animals depicted in this design and I am very drawn to the pinks. I made an offer - wish me luck!

Comments: This is my second attempt to try to grab a Semelles GM Shawl for pricing that stays within 3 numbers. Maybe this one will be a good choice, or am I just being foolish? Outside of being pretty wrinkled, it looks to be authentic to my novice eyes… Thanks so much!
