Without the above information and current for sale status there will be no authentication

BIN completed? or pulled by seller?
Thanks for your hard work researching the fraud.

I have been wondering about that myself ... stealing pictures and descriptions is as common as selling fakes. and even if you are the owner of the pics / texts, ebay will do not a lot to enforce your copyright. But it is a great that we have the TPF community to keep an eye on these things.

Per eBay it was sold for the BIN price of $1299. What a shame...

Thanks for all your great work, DDC! (I haven't asked for authentication yet, but do follow the thread!) ;)

I was the BIN buyer.I wanted it so much to be true. But I was kind of suspicious, I asked for more pictures, she emailed me some extra pics with different colors, explained later that it's just different lighting. I have not paid yet. Now I don't know what to do, just report to Ebay? Any advice?. Thank you all a lot!

Thank you, ladies, for letting me know about this photo thief. I will take the additional step to watermark my photos going forward. Unbelievable fraud on this one. Two different shawls as mentioned above. Good that you have not paid riri.

If I were you, I would not proceed with that transaction, report the seller to Ebay and tell them that you suspect fraudulent activities. 1300 USD is a lot of money if you receive nothing or a fake. And Paypal cases are time consuming and a hassle.
Please put further discussions on this topic to the respective ebay subforum.
As this is off topic, mods please feel to delete.

Watermarking will only help to some extent. We have seen many pages selling fakes with stolen pictures (ioffer, forwest etc - they just overlay the original watermark with their own) or ebay listings where the seller obviously had the pics and not the item in question.

Please help with these couple of eBay scarves. I am looking to add to my personal collection this year and will try to buy couple of classic designs... Thanks for your help. Even with perusing suggested here sources I am still not sure about the following scarves:

1.
Item: Hermes Silk Scarf, Cannes & Pommeaux, Red, Blue and Camel
Listing number: 150975531927
Seller: mybeautifulemptyclosets (3)
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/150975531927
Comments: I haven't seen this colorway in any reference material. Upon request seller posted additional pictures. Copyright can be seen in the top right corner of the picture showing the signature. Seems like an older authentic scarf but the seller has a low feedback score, so I am cautious.

2.
Item: Hermes Selle d'Aparat Marocaine
Listing number: 300843219331
Seller: designerdesigner-2007
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/300843219331
Comments: Looks good but the weave on the last picture (the one with copyright) looks a bit different... Also, what does it mean that this is a sale scarf? Is it inferior quality or has some defects?

3.
Item: Rare first issue 1974 SPRINGS Scarf 100% Silk by Philippe Ledoux
Listing number: 221174413256
Seller: 2012marymd33 (29)
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221174413256
Comments: Low feedback score seller, no care tag and reference photos are too small to compare copyright placement. Please help.

Thank you very much!

These are authentic. "Sale item" means it was bought at an H-sale. Most items are stamped with an S so that they cannot be returned to a boutique. Many perfect items can be found at the sales; some imperfect ones too, not because they came out of the workshop's flawed but because of over-handling.
