I would really appreciate an Hermes expert's opinion on this bag, or any experience with fashionphile.com. Is this Hermes real or fake?

Yes authentic. Price is high for a bag this age.

Lilmonkey, the kelly is authentic, There is no doubdt about that.

Not all sellers know what metal hardware is made of. Older bags have brass hardware. More recent ones have gold plated. Anyway, "gold tone" is a way to describe the color without beeing specific about the material. I would not take this as a mistake.
