This baby has some age on it and I love the oldies. I'd like to be able to see the stamps on the inside of the straps so I can date it because there are some things about this bag that aren't consistent when compared with my own very vintage Kelly. This, however, doesn't mean that the bag isn't authentic....the older vintages do have some differences with hardware, etc. based on year of production. My feeling is that it is authentic, it does have some corner issues, it certainly is not in "new" condition, the handle is darkened and the sleeper is not an older model. I'd ask about odors and dryness and I'd be very certain that you like these vintage models before bidding as they do come with their very own set of quirks.....

I do not have the confidence to say 100% sure. I did question the way she represented the measurements and explained they are usually stated by H x W x D.

Thanks, Ladies. I may have been too hasty on this one but was comparing it to my Evelyne and the interior suede did not seem to age in the same way as the Evelyne's and the interior pocket on this was not like the Eveyne I, that has a pocket. But apparently this bag's pocket is different from the Evelyne's. Thanks for clearing up my error! :smile1:

I've read posts that the seller is reputable, mostly selling scarves. My main concern is the Hermes stamp on the front of the bag seems a little high/close to the stitching and if the bag is in good overall condition. Any suggestions on what a fair price would be for this bag?

The seller is a member here and is reputable. I think that blue jean is one of the hardest color bags to authenticate, and there are many fakes in this color, but my feeling is that this bag is OK.

The only thing I would query is that to my eye this bag looks awfully like Clemence, even though in the auction it says it is Togo. The placement of the stamp is a bit high but can happen. Recent quality control at Hermes is not what it was and this is a K year bag.

Blue jean is a lighter color leather and I personally am not sure how well Hermes can touch up the corners. Perhaps someone else has experience with worn corners on this color. In the pictures the bag looks to have lost its shape a bit.

I do not know where you are located. A new Birkin in the USA is around $10,000. If you buy this and are in the USA remember you will probably pay duty on the importation, plus the shipping. I am not sure how much the duty would be.

The seller invites offers. I feel uncomfortable recommending prices, it is such a personal thing, but make an offer if you are interested.

Thanks so much, Bababebi. A BJ Birkin is my HG, so I know this will be an investment for a lifetime. With that said, I want to get the best deal I can find (and be comfortable with!). Many thanks for responding.
