I've been looking for a blue Birkin and abysse is my favorite of all (well, I also like blue prusse). Please let me know if this is authentic and if the seller is reputable. The price is high... what do you think is the reasonable price for this? Thanks a million! :smile1:

This seller does not have a history of selling Hermes. I always wonder when a new seller turns up with bags supposedly straight from the boutique in the latest hot colors. She also has a Bougainvillea Birkin at auction. I am uncomfortable. Pictures are lacking. Avoid.

Both the blue abysse and the bougainvillea are fakes in my opinion.

Thank you for your sound advice. I'm still shopping for my first H bag. At this stage, I am concerned that seller has limited history of selling on eBay and H items.

I will ask for more macro shots to show condition of handle and four bottom corners. As it is a preloved item which is almost 40 years only, I would expect some wear and tear. Afterall, it is not a brand new bag.

Looking at the picasa album, I can see some cracks from side profile of the handle. Not even sure if it is beyond repair at the spa.

I think the handle will need to be replaced entirely. Without spending more serious money on repair/parts replacement, the bag may have seen its better days. Once you calculate in the cost of work (and I am still, based on the lack of good images, unsure about dryness in the bag) you may do better buying something a little fresher.
