Comments: Could someone please have a look at this and tell me if it is authentic? The shape in the first pic seems to look more square like than other Kelly bags. Also, the seller is based in US but bag will be shipped from France. The listing mentions that it is a family item. Therefore, the seller does not seem to have sold handbags. Other items sold were violins.

Going from memory because I can't find anything to look this up but I think this is called a Monaco.
adding, yes, it is a Monaco.

YES!!!!! THAT'S IT!!!!! Encore....Thank you! Ok....the MONACO did have a squarer shape and that little flappy-thing at the turnlock. But I thought this design was older than the 70's?

At any rate, the condition of the bag would cause me not to bid on it regardless....I think there are plenty of Kelly's out there in better condition that would be well worth buying over this one unless you REALLY wanted this design.

I think it was made before the 70s..... these are what I have written down for embossing and year manufactured
Hermès-Paris
24FgStHonoré. used until 1959.......then

Hermès
Paris to 1970

And then the current stamp.

So happy to know the name of this bag, thank you so much Encore Hermes, but still think condition is far from excellent, the dryness and blisters would deter me from it. Unfortunately looks her age, not like us heh?

if only we could say something like, 1st comment by authenticator is free. every subsequent will cost them....umm...5 credits. :p

This bag is authentic.
It is not a Kelly. The name is MONACO.
I agree with others that condition is not fantastic.
And seller does not know anything about H. Especially about Monaco bags...but I would not blame her for that. ;)

Seller is top rated ebay seller that specialize in LV and Hermes. I thought it would be alright to purchase from them. OK, i probably should've done this BEFORE i bought it. So does that mean I can't ask for any advice or opinions on the items that I already purchased?
